I became a vegetarian in the beginning on 9th grade, so about 6 years ago. I was thinking about it and had already stopped eating red meat, but I still ate chicken/turkey. Then I was in English class one day and my teacher was talking about how it's bad to eat veal but it's okay to eat chicken and stuff like that because they have such small brains and that just pissed me off so I stopped completely. I kept eating shrimp/clams until recently but now I don't. Actually like a week ago I stopped eating anything with eggs too which isn't as bad as I thought, I just can't eat nearly any baked goods D:
I make a few different pasta dishes that I loooove. I want to learn more though but I'm just too broke and cheap right now to be experimenting with a bunch of different things. I just basically eat a lot of salad and use morningstar products to make stuff like chicken parmigiana and tacos and just regular burgers. veggie deli slices like pepperoni and salami are surprisingly amazing for sandwiches
for snacks I eat a lot of fruit, organic yogurt when I get to the right store, and rice snacks nomnom.

vegetarian since 5th grade [10 or 11 years old]. didnt feel like dealing with my moms bad cooking and the thought of eating things with veins, tendons, fat, etc repulsed me. my sister followed me on this a few years later. i have very few friends who are veggie, i do have to cook meat when im at work [baseball field, have to cook hamburgers, hot dogs, etc] as long as i dont have to eat it im fine. people always react the same, "how do you do it? i couldnt live without meat!" ive attempted vegan for about 3 months until my mom freaked out on me.

When i was about 7 or 8. I told my parents i didnt want to eat meat anymore because it is cruel, which i still believe. So my parents invented this meat called "man made meat" (which there is! : frys, veggie delights, tofu!!)...but continued to fed my real meat. Which i finally found out about.
When i was about 10, i was a "semi vegetarian"...still eating chicken and seafood. I feel so stupid doing that now.
Then i went back to meat when i was about 15-17. And about 6 months ago i became a full vegetarian. I enjoy it and make some pretty good food. I dont eat a lot of eggs and cheese, usually if its cooked into something. I drink a mixture of cow milk and soymilk.
I made a really yummy tofu parmigiana the other night
And also a Tofu Katsudon (japanese dish) nom nom.

being a vegetarian is unnecessary.... at least for me
i do believe americans in general consume way too much meat
and ignore fruits and vegetables
i only manage to get the recommended serving from juicing
i heard that a serving of lentils almost has same amount of protein as meat?http://www.teenspot.com/boards/showthread.html?t=567314

Why do you base your biological consumptions on baseless moral conclusions?

I have been a vegetarian since I was 13. To be honest, I just didn't find the taste of meat to be appealing.
My favorite meal I'd say is Eggplant parmesan.

I've been a vegetarian 5 years straight, baby!
Cheese ravioli with garlic bread.
Strawberry shakes with cottage cheese for protein.
Egg beaters (no cholesterol) with Morning Star Bakin strips.
Seasoned rice with Morning Star Chik'n'strips.
Spinach and feta cheese pastries.
Baked asparagus with sesame seeds on them.
I also eat lots of rice and noodle dishes. I'm always trying new foods.
