    On a personal level.

I suspect the situation is alot worse then you and I can see.

It's almost to the point where greece is a slave to a higher power. The greek government cannot get out of this situation and has to do everything it is told. Do you really think "people in charge" are the REAL people in charge?

Power, money, money power. Humans and power and money.

Gosh it seems like every topic I go into I keep coming to the same conclusions, please someone tell me I'm not mad.

Well you have grown up with a race of people that take ALOT of pride in their race and culture, and I feel they think too highly of themselves. So it might be hard to detach yourself from the whole greek equation as someone who is not really greek, who is not just human, but that person is you, your existence. I wish I could explain it better.

Also I understand that I have never really been to greece and there is a greek lady on my course and she feels almost like my mother.

I don't see the existence of nations as something negative, so I wouldn't want to "detach" myself.

what do you mean about the lady?

She is a fellow student but treats me as a son. I respect her. She carries a maturity most women in the lecture room lack.

Got to admire the culture and warfare of ancient rome, even if they fell to barbarians.

i would think that the maker of this thread prefers rome because saturn is the roman version of cronus, who is zeus's dad, but i prefer greece because they had better mythology.
feeling pain lets us know we are still human

Greece. I imagine Rome would be a place of fear.
