Default I can't get my hair to stay straight

When I straighten my hair, it stays straight for a little bit, but the minute after I straighten it, the front starts to look greasy and frizzy, even though i use conditioners and I wash it the night before. It looks perfectly fine right after I'm done straightening, but afterword it looks all messy and frizzy. I have long layers which I think might be the problem...
Any tips with keeping my hair straighter?

there's stuff you can put in your hair after you straighten it. it'll keep it straight long as you don't mess with it too much. check in a pharmacy for a product.

okie dokes. this is an easy one.

    go to a salon,

ask to have your hair chemically straightened.

walah! your hair is set for like 3 months,

Well, even if you don't choose to destroy your hair through chemical straightening (not saying it will, but I know people who have), maybe even try easing up on the conditioners some. I've found that using less when I'm shampooing actually helps in the long run. I add some Tresemme straightening gel that helps keep it straight in the crappy weather I live in, while also protecting my hair from the heat.

Whether or not this helps or not, I don't know, but. All you can do is experiment with different products, if you have the money to do so. And hey, if you want to get it chemically straightened, then go right ahead. It's your hair.

i have the same problem!!!! heres what i do when i straighten my hair:

    -condition
    -blow dry
    -hot iron
    -anti-frizz serum
    -wrap

and it usually stays that way for a week, depending on how humid it gets.

Chemically straightening blows. It ruins your hair and really doesn't stay straight for very long, you still have to flat iron it. I would just say ease up on the conditioner and try putting something in your hair after you get out of the shower like Chi Straight Guard or straightening gel, something. I let my hair air dry and it's usually much more straight and it looks a lot better than when I blow dry.

The advice given here doesn't mean anything if you have ethnic hair. What are you?

Dead ends could be causing it if it is just at the ends, try getting it trimmed and use a straighten balm [I think that is what they are called] the next time you straighten it. If all else fails just hold the straightener on the ends longer than the rest of the hair that works for me sometimes.

If it looks greasy, try washing your hair that day, not the day before.
Also, you can put baby powders in your hair to soak up the oils.

    Try the maxi glide:

"The design of the steam burst system, pins, channels and ceramic technology creates smooth, shiny, straight hair in minutes, without blowing the hair smooth first."

" Steam S.B.S. (patented Steam Burst System) provides just the right amount of steam when you need it. A burst of steam smoothes out even the most frizzy, wavy hair steam and softens the stubborn hair - just like steam in the iron softens the fabric to make it easier to smooth.."
