Alpha Centauri is another great game for this kind of stuff. Would have loved for a sequel.

Huckabee and Palin are flashes in the pan. They haven't done anything of note, and 50 years from now no one will know or care who they were, except maybe the latter in passing as the person who drove the last stake into McCain.

No, actually, it's a presentation on a study recording the effects of sopophoric compounds on blowflies to see if they effect the measurement of PM (Post mortem Interval).

I imagine the hypothesis is that it slows down the functions of the blowflies, making it harder to gather an accurate PM?

Pretty much. Large concentrations of Scopolamine derivatives cause the flies to become underdeveloped and take much longer to reach that point, or after a point (around 2.0 RLD), they just die before reaching pupation.
