How an independent Quebec would perform economically? I'll look it up for you if you want. I'm just basing my logic on the current drivers of economic growth there (hydro-electricity, knowledge economy, natural resources, etc) and the fact that the province currently redistributes only half (roughly) of the taxes it levies on its territory.
Yeah, the movement is kind of on standby right now. No matter how anyone spins it, the Bloc's latest electoral performance is nothing to feel comfortable about. In my opinion, however, it is for the best. It'd be very interesting. However, I still doubt their chances of being able to become independent in the near future, regardless of their possible success in being independent.
Layton doesn't have the political guts to do that, even if he had won all 308 seats. The moment he opens up the Constitution for amendment, he will alienate his RoC supporter base. He's very well aware that he will lose most of the 59 seats he won on May 2nd in four years. He won't waste time consolidating his current hold on Quebec. From what I understand, Layton was open to the possibility of opening the question constitutionally, but even if he had become PM with a majority that would be problematic (see: Mulroney).

The story wasn't that great, but Johnny Depp's awesomeness and Penelope Cruz's body really make up for it.

Finally finished school. Like I actually don't ever have to go back and sit down and take register or anything. And I seem to be the only one happy about this?
Well I guess this is what it feels like to be the ocean...

Last exam, probably ever, on Friday. High probability of drinking before the exam. Should be hilarious.

I've just found out my exact role for my summer internship is within the "Regulatory Capital Management" team. Undecided as to whether this sounds interesting or very dull.

For any of you who are clinging to the wonderfully naive belief that there is hope for the world, I present to you, the killing blow.

Brilliant. There's so many on the "abortion complex" lol.
It's brilliant satire in the initial article too:
During a press conference, Planned Parenthood president Cecile Richards told reporters that the new state-of-the-art fetus-killing facility located in the nation's heartland offers quick, easy, in-and-out abortions to all women, and represents a bold reinvention of the group's long-standing mission and values.
"Although we've traditionally dedicated 97 percent of our resources to other important services such as contraception distribution, cancer screening, and STD testing, this new complex allows us to devote our full attention to what has always been our true passion: abortion," said Richards, standing under a banner emblazoned with Planned Parenthood's new slogan, "No Life Is Sacred." "And since Congress voted to retain our federal funding, it's going to be that much easier for us to maximize the number of tiny, beating hearts we stop every day."
"The Abortionplex's high-tech machinery is capable of terminating one pregnancy every three seconds," Richards added. "That's almost a million abortions every month. We're so thrilled!"

Life really does get better, whether you're bullied or not
"Through the haze that is my memory
You stayed for drama though you paid for a comedy
I know I can be colorful
I know I can be gray
But I know this loser's very fortunate
Cause I know, you will love me either way" -"Colorful", The Verve Pipe
