The Black Watch is part of the Army in Scotland, though Canada have a battalion too. I don't know much about it but my Granda got a few medals for fighting with them in the war, we don't have a specific tartan for our family so we use theirs.
I don't know much about Scottish Clans as it's so confusing but your last name doesn't mean that's the one your family belongs to, if you even belong to one.
A clan comes from a certain area, i think Duncan was the main one to reside over where i come from. They're made up of the Chief and his family but they allowed in septs (Non related familys) that lived on their lands or joined for protection. We could have been a sept to the Duncan clan but my granda comes from a different part of Scotland so that means ours probably isn't tied to my area.
I probably have that all wrong but your last name doesn't mean that's your clan. You would have to track your family all the way back to that time to figure it out.
So it's not as easy as just googling Glen clan tartan to find out.
I think you have to go through your dads side of your family to find it out though, so the Spalding clan have nothing to do with me unless somehow they cross.
Bet you wish you'd never asked now
He has equal custody of the girls because his name is on their birth certificates but because he isn't the Mum his rights are a lot less, she can fuck about with his visitations unless they're court set and she's not held accountable for it. But if he doesn't pay maintenance money to her for the kids he can to jail. It's shite.
If you file divorce papers and he refuses to sign they will grant you a divorce without his consent after a certain amount of time. Otherwise you're married until you decide to divorce.

See that's the problem. My father is supposed to be part Scottish. His mother died when he was young, but he was raised by his aunt and uncle. Both of whom have passed away now. But my dad never knew his father. So I have no way of tracing the family back anywhere.
I just figured everyone signed, because why would you want to be with someone who doesn't want to be with you anymore?

Is his dads name not on his birth certificate?
I'm assuimg not, which means they probably didn't marry.
I'm not sure there's really a way to find him unless you find his name on a certificate somewhere.
Most people do sign but others avoid it out of spite. He knows they want to get married so if he chooses not to sign he can prevent that, which i wouldn't put past him to be honest.

So assuming your dad is human and not an alien/swamp monster, his dads name might be on his birth certificate.
If it is, you should be able to track down a copy of his birth certificate somewhere and that will give you the names of his parents etc etc.
But if he is alien or swamp monster...what does that make you

I'd assume that it wouldn't be possible for an alien/swamp monster to mate or create a child with a human. Therefore, I'd be:
a) alien/swamp monster
b) adopted
This is possibly one of the few cases where hearing "you're adopted" would be relieving

My spectacles are ready to be picked up.
Who calls them that?
Strangest phone call I've had this month.

Oh hi, I didn't know you were on here
How are things in the life of Kerry?
Ha, I was just thinking "omg you guys call them spectacles?"

I need to get boxes so I can start packing at the end of next week. I can't believe I'm actually doing this.

I had to stop myself from laughing and asking her to repeat what she just said.
Seriously debating using that when i pick them up. "Oh hi i am here to collect my spectacles, i was informed that they were ready."
I lurk undetected
That will come in handy when the swamp monster in you overtakes and decides i know too much.
Things are grand in the life of Kerry.
If by grand she means rather dull and monotonous that is. She's currently watching my strange addiction and debating ice cream.
How is the life of Heather developing?
Clearly she's in a very strange mood tonight.

Oh I am so having cake and ice cream later. It's my dad's birthday today. So cake. And ice cream.
The life of Heather is developing to be scary. I don't know what my future holds. And I'm excited and at the same time nervous.
I handed in my resignation at my job yesterday. He already knew I was quitting, but it just seems so much more official now. It's odd, my mom is so perfectly calm and like "no we can do that later" I don't think she believes it yet.
I'm going to go get cake and ice cream now that that thought is in my head

Bring me a bit of cake?
Ahh I'm so proud of you for deciding to give it a go!
I'd be terrified too but you have a safety net so if something doesn't work you'll be fine.
New chapter and everything.
She probably wont have many feelings about it until it's actually happens.

Yeah, but I'd rather her freak out now so that she gets it out of her system, rather than crying when I go to leave and have to drive 6 hours after being super emotional...
