Default Finding other bisexual/gay people in your area

How do you go about finding other gay/lesbian/bi people in your area? I moved here a little over a year ago and I'd like to start dating a girl, but I don't know how to find other lesbian/bisexual girls. There's no GSA at my school, unfortunately, and I don't think they'd let me start one. I knew quite a few lesbian/bi girls at my old school before I moved, but now I have no idea. Any advice would be appreciated

I have the same problem! Im bisexual but more into girls lately and wanna date one. And i cant find any one who is bisexual\lesbian and it really irritates me sometimes. Most of the kids in my school are uppity and snobs and wave their money around like they are the shit. And mostly preps and im sorry for stereotyping but its true and i HATE people like that. Most of the girls say they are bisexual because they think its "cool" ugh whatever!

I agree, Bloo_Berrie. It's mostly like that at my school too.

I don't know whether you'll find many Americans on it but the GYC has been great for some European and British mates I know.

Go to the downtown portion of your area. I'm not quite sure WHY, but the only other lesbians I ever meet hang out downtown...and I know it's not just my city, because in most others I've been to, there has been a pretty good gay/lesbian/transgender/bisexual scene as opposed to other parts of town.

this is true or check other towns and cities there definately has to be some kind of hang out place around there. or check online if there are any clubs that serve to gay/lesbian/transgender/bisexuals =]

just hang out with people, most people like to act straight because they thing it makes them cool, while straight people sometimes act gay to look *cool* So basically its twisted.

Come out of the closet. Trust me, everyone will start talking to you.
Not saying you should put yourself out there. But let people slowly find out that you're gay /bi (whatever you are).
    You'll start getting approached.
Join a GSA club at your school or in your community.
Network. Hang out with new people.

Yeah it's definitely hard sometimes. i'm in a Catholic all girls high school so there's obviously no GSA club. Additionally, I've decided to wait until college to come out to friends and people because it would only cause drama in a tiny school where everyone knows everyone. The difficult part is, I don't feel like waiting until next year to start meeting people! so lame.

You can never find out anything unless you try. I had the same problem when i was younger i knew i was a lesbian since fifth grade and in seventh grade i began to come out and there are not many people in our town who are gay so I gt involved in local gay activities and found out how many people in my area are gay. I still couldnt find miss right but it helps

I don't know how I do it, to be honest. Other bisexuals just tend to migrate toward me.
I love how when you eat an ice cream cone, it gets all over your face. xD
