Ok, I'm not the best at researching, and it's more of a whim than something that really pushes me to dig very deep, but my eyes change colours very often and very drastically. You can even observe as on colour begins to gain territory (Eg. a red spot the size of a grain of sand will grow to consume the entire iris). I am just a bit curious as to the reason I'm like this even though neither of my parents are anything like it. Especially if it is likely to be a dominant gene or not.
side note: what I like to call my base colour (the colour pattern that my eyes are the most) is slit half and half diagonally one half being my mother's exact colour, the other being my father's exact colour, with a brown circle around the pupil and different flecks of colour throughout.

mine don't change "dramatically" but mine kind of change from a blue/grey color to green from time to time. I've never paid attention to when they do it, but I think it has something to do with the sun or weather conditions at the time.

I find when i'm pissed off (Or when i have a black out... apparently it happens to) my eyes go from light Brown to VERY dark brown, almost Black... of course i've never seen it happen myself, people just tell me...
It has something to do with the blood flow in the back of the eye...

That's unusual, I read up ages ago and posted on a thread regarding a similar topic.
The general contributing factors to eye colour is the melanin (which is basically pigmented tissue) content, and density of cells in the iris. Eye colour can change throughout a lifetime mainly due in part to the exposure of sunlight. That light can fluctuate melanin productivity in the eye, and cause colour to change shades or even hues.
Subtle changes in colour can occur from lighting or intense changes of colours of your surroundings or even in the light that reflects from your clothes. But I haven't heard anything about rapid or intense changes of colour in a short period of time.

I have a few others that I took within a span of 5 minutes where I have a very dark rim around my irises, but they are very out of focus

My eyes do something similair to that, but mine tends to be much slower and dependant on sunlight and that sort of thing. In the summer, my eyes become a far more pronounced green, and in the winter, they tend to be hazel/dark brown.

I'll put up more pics soon, but I'm usually only my neutral green/blue when I take them so it's not so good
