Hmm.. well we also have to whole no jackets thing. Although I don't live in Alaska, I do live in north Jersey. Our winters are pretty harsh. And another rule that's stupid is.. I guess the whole fall asleep in class rule. If you're caught sleeping in class, the teacher is fully within their rights to force the school nurse to give you a drug test. Most teachers don't, however, you never know. Hello? We're American teenagers. We're bound to sleep at inappropriate times. It's in our genetics.

That's insane! Cruel and unusual, I say! I spit upon your school administrators. Puh, puh.

Can't eat in the hallways. Or drink in the hallways. Like I get that we can't do it in the resource center (main room) but the hallways? Also, only for middle schoolers, and since I'm in high school now it doesn't matter but still, they can't wear any color nailpolish except light pink and no makeup.

When I was in high school, we had some teachers with that rule, other teachers with rules about using rest rooms during class, short class changing time, and some teachers who kept all the students after class for talking, even the ones who didn't say a word. Combine all those together and you get what it was like during one of my class changes. I hated that school so much.

My Chem teacher did that. We stayed twice partially becuase of me, but she did this about ten times during the year. I had to walk to a class across the school, and was late whenever my Chem teacher decided to pull that shit.

You can't speak Japanese in ICT room 4.
Not neccessarily bad, but very stupid. WHY is it a rule? Do they think there are regular visits to the ICT room by Japanese cannibals?

you can't take your blazer off without asking a teacher and you can't get lunch if you're not wearing a blazer, how stupid is that
if you can't get someone out of your head maybe they're supposed to be there

My English teacher wouldn't let anyone go to the bathroom during class because she was afraid that one of us would steal a chicken. I'm serious.

I paraphrase, "If you misbehave (believe me, their definition is way different from the general accepted notion of bad behavior) and do not achieve satisfacotry grades, we might not invite you to attend next year."

No sleeping in the hallway.
Also, the worst rule EVER is....
No walking in the hall with toothpaste on your face. Why? Because one day I had a zit and a teacher told me to put toothpaste on to make it better. Apparently, the toothpaste was so distracting they had to make a rule. But we can put toothpaste on our faces in the classroom, which everyone does now.Well I bet that you look good on the dance floor

I guess some people were just born with tragedy in their blood.

You aren't allowed to wear sweaters when in P.E. even though they blast the A.C. in the middle of winter. And you can't wear them outside when running track, even in winter. I know Texas doesn't get nearly as cold as Virginia or Connecticut, but 30 degrees is still really cold to be running around in shorts and a t-shirt.
If you don't get in six laps of running within 20 minutes you fail the day. Fail two days and you fail the six-weeks and get a d-hall. Never an issue for me, but stupid none-the-less.
You can have cellphones as long as their off and in your backpack or locker. However, if the school does a search of your person or one of the random locker checks and it's found, it is confiscated.
Any thing that's taken up, be it a cellphone, CD/MP3 Player, aritcle of clothing, book, etc. is kept for 30 days, if it's not claimed it's thrown out or given away. However, to get it back, you have to pay $15 dollars. If you refuse to pay, they throw it out immediately and will hold your report card and all school records. You also can't get a parking permit. This is the most stupid and outrageous. Being charged to recieve your own item back.
