Blew off quite a considerable amount of funds to go see the Angels (for my sister's sake). Got to see the Rockies' pitching get destroyed. God, not sure stats alone can truly show the pragmatic failure that is the Rockies' rotation. Saw Trout close and personal - the man is an absolute man-child. Taller, and larger than both Pujols and Giambi. I think I will take the freshwater fish over Harper for better career.

The philosophers and theologians, the beautiful people, had their jobs in the monasteries and universities but science owes more to the people who sold their soul, or at least their health, to the devil for knowledge. These were the people who actually went down to the laboratories and did the dirty work to see how the world actually works.

I went to one game..and it was Star Wars night! (as you know since you commented on one of the pictures
) but it was also a walk-off win and it was great to see Rick Porcello shut down the Yankees

15 for me, but I'm done until the Nationals come to town to see the hype; and whatever series my sis. would like me to take her to. Seth Smith's Athletics, tomorrow.

Matt Cain pitched a perfect game. Gregor Blanco made an amazing play.
Buster Olney tweeted: "No-hitter alert: Justin Verlander this afternoon."

Wasn't it something similar to " [...]against the Cubs?" Never miss my baseball Twitter updates.
Rockies are bad; but I'm going to the other side of Colorado (247 miles) to see me some David Dahl! I can see him buffing up a bit to fill in that height.Last edited by Junior-17; 06-14-2012 at 10:24 PM.

yeah, you're right.
3-game set with the Rockies. Thankfully, it's at home so it [hopefully] won't be as bad as last year. The Killer in me is the Killer in you

Dear god

Valverde...Marte...ouch. On the bright side, Carlo is on my fantasy team, and since that jack occurred after I assumed the game was clinched, I don't mind.

Well, not today. Typical stuff there; too bad Friedrich had to be it; not sure this little mediocre stint will affect him. But no one seems concerned. Growing pains, I suppose; but he should be doing it at the lower levels.
With shit Guts tomorrow, you should be good for a series win; only the gods know how the hell he ended up being our OD starter. The philosophers and theologians, the beautiful people, had their jobs in the monasteries and universities but science owes more to the people who sold their soul, or at least their health, to the devil for knowledge. Tbh, there was talk in 09 and last year of Guthrie being traded to Detroit and I was hoping to God he wouldn't be. Thankfully Doug Fister came over instead.

Looks like Guthrie might be dealt to the Blue Jays!

Chances are he ends up actually being mediocre. I'd take anyone, really.

I thought you'd be stoked about him possibly returning to the AL East. Sometimes I question baseball; why are guys like Guthrie, Wandy Rodriguez and Roy Oswalt always talked about as big time trade chips when they are very inconsistent and, IMO, overrated?

"Rub it in, why don't you? "Maybe for yourself?" Did I miss anything else? Anyways, I really won't say anything about Tracy's latest silly antics. Troll on, gentleman.
Of course I jest; good to see the game reciprocating some love towards you. Have to love the Dickey man; great story of the journeyman.Last edited by Junior-17; 06-19-2012 at 10:43 PM.

a great player and a great person in general. i love watching his post-game interviews almost as much as i love watching him pitch, he's always so poised and humble. truly inspiring!
i'm determined to meet him at his book signing on thursday... even if i have to go alone, which it seems will be the case (where did all my met fan friends go?!)

That's good to hear; what is wrong with going alone? Went to the Rosario, 'Checo and White signing by my lonesome. And paid a bit extra to play catch with Jordan Pacheco - said not to throw so hard; I'd have to pay the Rockies for the broken pieces.

idk, i thought it would be more enjoyable to attend with another fan, but i'll just have to make friends there

That's the spirit; I don't think I've never not made one friend at a ballgame, or signing. Sharing the same interest? Very difficult not to.
