Default Cinderella Man

I saw it today.

Make no mistakes. This is THE best film of the year. Bar none. Nothing that you see this year will beat it.

Gladiator and Cinderella Man can't be compared. They're completely different movies. Both are great.

Anyway, I also think Million Dollar Baby can't be comparaed to Cinderella Man either. You can't just jump them up into the "boxing" category. Because Cinderella Man is a piece of (mostly) historically accurate information about a boxer in the 1930's, whereas Million Dollar Baby is a modern piece that's a lot less about boxing and a lot more about issues with Swank's character.

Cinderella Man is indeed a great film. Definitely one of the best this year. I'm not sure yet I want to grant it title of "best so far this year" because I really loved Crash. Such a good, dramatic, well-needed movie. But yes, Cinderella Man is great, and right up there with Crash in my book.

It was advertised on TV today... I want to see it. It looks really good. Too bad it seems like a tearjerker.

Nah. While you'll cry if you're like that and are inclined to, it's inspirational ; not sad.

I agree. You won't feel like crying, you'll feel like cheering.
