You can get huge of light weight, look at the people who do pushups alone to get big, When building muscle essentially what your doing is destroying some then rebuilding, and doing lightweights will do this just as much heavy just more reps required.

The only reason light weights appear to do more toning is because doing light weights will use more muscle groups building more muscle instead of the pure isolation when using heavy weights also you'll drop more body fat as light weights is more cardio aswell

Muscle weighs the same as fat.
5lbs of muscle= 5 lbs of fat
5lbs of gold=5lbs of feathers. I cannot understand why some retards do not understand this!

OP perhaps you have lost a bit of body fat but gained muscle too. You haven't been specific with weight you might have only gained a pound or two I don't know. But you've obviously gained muscle so that's why.

P.S. You say you want to tone? This is generally muscle gain and loss in body fat. This what you mean or do you just do cardio to lose bodyfat? Because if you're only doing cardio you'd probably have expected to have lost weight and not really gain any muscle so weigh less.. unless you are still growing in height.

^ I believe it has already been addressed in this thread that obviously muscle does not WEIGH MORE than fat in the way that 1lb of muscle = 1lb of fat, because then nothing weighs more than anything.... People generally say that "muscle weighs more than fat" to illustrate that muscle is DENSER than fat.

You didn't ask for advice, you asked us why you were gaining weight. Several people told you it is because you are replacing fat in your body with muscle, which will make your weight on a scale higher while your actual body fat percentage drops. What else do you want?

But still people are posting shit like what excersizes do you, what do you eat bla fucking bla. I already got the awnser and I was annoyed that people can't go back and read where I already posted what kind of excersize I am doing or how I am eating.
