Probably XP. I did admire Windows 2000 because it preserved my laptop's battery life a bit longer than XP.
Downloading W7 as we speak so I'll see how it goes.

The problem, when comparing Windows and *nix , arises when you reflect on their histories. Windows has almost always aimed for consumers and thus has had to focus a lot on making the OS usable for your average joe . *nix has, except for quite recent distros, always been for nerds who know their kungfu.

Been using Fedora for a bit today. I can get it to look like windows 7. And I can get video editing software for it. So everyone should do that. Get Fedora for when you'll be just image/video editing. and 7 for everything else, Macs are out of the equation. If only Fedora looked as slick as Ubuntu.
Off topic, I wrecked the video bios on my card. easily fixed though. meh, waste of 2 hours.
