Fuel economy has one significant variable - the person behind the wheel.

A person who owns a four cylinder car and drives it hard will likely use more fuel than someone who owns a six cylinder car (turbo-charged four/six cylinder or even V8) with more power and drives it in a more relaxed manner.

I am actually only really looking for a sporty looking 4-banger, which is exactly the description that a tC fits. Other than rsx, civic, tC, cobalt, and eclipse, what other cars would you suggest?

Also for those talking about preludes gas mileage, according to edmunds they only get around 20 mpg.
toyota celica, there's one on the orlando craigslist
and yeah i don't get great mpg in my prelude
it's a 2.2L motor so it's not as fuel efficient as a civic and it has pretty high compression
plus i prolly drive it harder than i should, but it has 207k on it and still runs good
http://orlando.craigslist.org/ctd/1454575770.html - pretty high miles, sure you could talk them down though
