It looks trashy. Usually they're hispanic chicks who want to look ghetto/slutty or they're the Hollister girls who're "unique" aka snobby and clueless. Plus I always picture those giant hoops getting caught on table corners. Ouch.

Its just a piece a jewelry, hardly not the basis for unfair judgement. Theyre getting more and more versatile now a days, depending on what you wear with them, they can look really neat. I personally like to wear insanely large black ones

I don't treat girls that wear hoop earrings differently. They are just hoop earrings. I used to wear them when I was younger. Most girls look just fine with them in. I don't know why everyone is saying they look trashy and ghetto. White girls wear them all the time around here, and we aren't from the "hood".

My friend Brooke wears them all the time though.
