Default Looking to buy a sporty looking car

Alright I've got a little over 7 thousand to spend on a car. Im 17, this will be my 2nd car (I've been driving my mom's hand-me-down bright red honda crv for a little over a year), so needless to say I am looking for an upgrade.

Now I am probably going to get the facepalm for this, but I am not at all interested in a potentially fast car. I do not have the money, time, or expertise to soup up a car. I am looking for a sporty looking 2dr coupe. Basically, I am going to base my final decision on how much pussy I think the car can potentially assist me in getting. Obviously the more pussy getting potential the car has, the more apt I will be to getting it.

The car will have to last me at least 6 years from now, till I land my first job after college. I have done some searching and found these two.

http://gainesville.craigslist.org/cto/1438978863.html (Assume the price is 7000)

http://orlando.craigslist.org/cto/1438346413.html

Are these decent deals? The only problem I have with the tC is that its got 100k miles. The civics got 54k, plus its a civic...so it will last forever. I have only searched for Cobalt SSs, civics, acura rsxs, and scion tCs, any other suggestions on cars I should consider buying?

Oh and Im planning on immediately removing the neon lights from the tC. I'm not THAT much of a douchebag.

Thanks for your understanding (crosses fingers).

I have a 2007 Scion Tc - and I really like it. I don't really know much about cars(okay, NOTHING about cars) and it's pretty low maintanence. It's stylish, and I like the interior - - but I mostly like it because it really is fun to drive. It's got a lot of pick-up - ESPECIALLY for a little 4 cylinder, and it managed to impress my friend who's had Mustangs and an older Camaro. It handles extremely well, especially at higher speeds(which can be an issue - my lisence got suspended for excessive speeding after I got my first, and only, ticket). Additionally, I hear that they're very safe for being so tiny - I know MINE has the side curtain airbags in addition to the regular - but this was an optional add-on. Personally, I've never gotten into an accident before, so I can't speak for it's safety first hand - but I've heard it's very safe in the event of an accident.

The only issues I have with it is that it's not the smoothest ride - it's nothing bad or anything, but it's not going to drive like a luxury car, of course - because it's definitely not a luxury car. Overall, it's a nice, stylish car and it's a lot of fun to drive. Not sure how well it would perform with 100k+ miles - mine is about 40k, so I'm HOPING that it's not going to fall apart.

And yes, take away the neon lights. Scions only look good when they're down to the bare basics IMO - wings look ridiculous on them.

You're not going to get pussy in a sharp car. Your car doesn't get pussy, you do. Remember that.

Both cars were obviously owned by kids and were likely beat on. I wouldn't buy either.

Still taking suggestions though.

Only way to redeem yourself Pete is post pics of you doing burnouts in the PT. Will somehow make the car appear more manly.

If you want something sporty FWD 4-bangers are rarely the way to go. Of these two I'd suggest the Scion, though I highly reccomend removing the super-faggy underbody lights and retarded looking wal-mart rims as soon as it's in your possession. If you're lucky he might still have the stock rims.

To be fair though neither of these cars are very sporty. They're slow FWD econo-boxes.

Ah, I rarely do them but I did a pretty nice one yesterday (BFGoodrich Radial T/A' are expensive). If I can find a couple pizza cutter spare wheels I'll get that up on video.

Preludes get around 25mpg, the tc gets the same, and the Civic gets around 30mpg. 25mph isn't good enough?

Yea I was planning on removing both, but he doesn't have the stock rims. I am definitely not going to be purchasing that car.

I am actually only really looking for a sporty looking 4-banger, which is exactly the description that a tC fits. Other than rsx, civic, tC, cobalt, and eclipse, what other cars would you suggest?

Also for those talking about preludes gas mileage, according to edmunds they only get around 20 mpg.

The tC is easily one of the least sporty 4-bangers out there. There is the Cobalt, SS Supercharged of course, Dodge Neon SRT-4, Eclipse GSX. Miata and S2k are quite sporty for 4-cyls thanks to RWD. I dunno, when you say sporty do you mean fast and maneuverable? There's nothing sporty about a regular Civic or a Cobalt LT or an NA Eclipse.

When you say you want a "sporty looking 2 door coupe" do you want 4 seats or 2?
Is MPG a big factor?
Do you think you'll need a lot of trunk space?
Is a convertible an option?

Just saying "I want a 2 door coupe for around 10k" (probably less, but I gather you're spending around 10k since you showed the 9k TC)
Is pretty much a very wide open answer, as there are so many to choose from, you could probably spend months looking at all of the options.

I said sporty looking, as in aesthetics, not in regards to speed and maneuverability.

Im looking for a 2 door, 4 seater, MPG is an important factor, trunk space does not matter, I do not want a convertible. Also, I stated in the OP that I am looking to spend around 7 thousand.

Then you don't want a Miata or S2K, or anything supercharged/turbocharged.

The "sporty look" is a bit opinionated imo.
Everyone has suggested some pretty good cars...so...check a few of them out? XD

go for the tC, It's a great all around vehicle, I get 27-30mpg depending on how I drive.
whoever said it isn't "sporty" looking is totally absurd.

160hp/tq is pretty decent for a N/A 4 banger. and I can fit 2 regular adults comfortably in the back.
also the back seats recline

Trunk space is plenty, and the back seats fold flat, I was able to fit a 42" LCD TV in the box, in my car easily.

Getting stock rims isn't hard, there's a huge user base for scion owners and you can pick up a set of used stockies for 200-400 bucks.

and for the chick factor, I never needed my car to pick up girls, but when girls see my car they're speechless.
