i'm far from spoilt.
the problem is, he's hardly ever here. he's either at the gym, at work, out with his friends or down the pub.
And when he IS here, he shouts at me, shouts at mum, takes my stuff away. and decides to put discipline into me when he's never here to reinforce it anyway!
i used to love him so much, he used to be my favourite family member, we used to be so close.
and latley hes been saying and doing things thats really hurt me.
and, i just HATE him.

Fine I'll give you a serious answer. Your dad is a failure as a parent. It's not wrong to want something better, and it's not uncommon to feel guilty for resenting how he treats you. Your situation sucks, so naturally you hate him. You certainly aren't alone. It's also normal to grow apart from your parents in your teen years. It happens to almost everyone. I can't tell you how to fix it but maybe it's comforting to know there are a lot of people in your shoes.

I spent ages 2-8 waiting on the doorstep for my Dad.
He never came.
I like to believe it's normal.

IF you're serious, that sucks dude. If you're not, it still sucks. I never had that problem and I get along ok with my dad.
