Default MLB Postseason 2009

As the regular baseball season winds down to a close, there are 6 teams that have clinched a postseason berth. The only division that has yet to be claimed is the American League Central, with the Minnesota Twins and the Detroit Tigers fighting it out to see which team wants it more. In addition to that race, the National League wild card is still up for grabs, as the Colorado Rockies attempt to eliminate the Atlanta Braves by winning against the Milwaukee Brewers today. A loss by the Twins or the Braves today will remove them from contention.

Here's a quick look at the division leaders.

American League
  • AL East: New York Yankees
  • AL Central: Still undecided. (Twins & Tigers)
  • AL West: Los Angeles Angels
  • AL Wild Card: Boston Red Sox

National League
  • NL East: Philadelphia Phillies
  • NL Central: St. Louis Cardinals
  • NL West: Los Angeles Dogers
  • NL Wild Card: Still undecided. (Rockies & Braves)

Here's to an exciting finish! Read more @ MLB.com

In four years being here, I never knew this place existed. Hm, well, congratulations to the Yankees. They were great and a fine WS it was. I'm glad my Rockies managed to at the very least, put a flame to the Phillies. This off-season'll be hectic.
I'll be coming in here a bit more now that I know this blog section exists.

Edit: On second thought, I might keep my distance. This place is anarchy.
