Standing out there
In the cold
In the rain
Why?
Just to catch a ball?
What's the point of that?
Nothing
Yet I'm out here
No matter what the weather
Why you ask?
For the same reason you are in there
In the warmth
Because I want to be here
In the field
In the cold
In the rain
Standing here
Waiting to catch that ball
You still don't understand?
I am here because it is fun
How can that be fun you ask?
Just standing there
In the cold
In the rain
It is fun because I believe it is
It's amazing what you can enjoy
When you believe you like it.



I'm not too fond of it, especially the ending, but then again, what can I expect from a poem that took 2 minutes to wirte?

i actually rather like it. i like how the simple concept of liking baseball can be taken by the reader and applied to a bunch of other things. (at least, thats what i did in my head).

my one real criticism: dont baseball games get called if its raining?
(i did like the repetition of "in the cold/in the rain" though :))

I was meaning like practice, my friends here have to go to practices still even if it is raining
