Liam's mother, Jean (Coulter), is due to be released from prison on his upcoming 16th birthday. Liam is determined that things will be different this time. He tries to raise enough money to buy a new home so his mother and 17-year-old sister Chantelle (Fulton)can get a chance at a new sort of life away from the rough Glasgow streets they live in. It is not long before Liam gets himself into alot of trouble. Finding himself dangerously out of his depth, Liam knows he should walk away but he just can't let go.
