I was kind of disappointed at the results of the Golden Globes tonight.
First, I was annoyed that Memento not only received one measly nomination, but didn't even win. Not to pre-judge A Beautiful mind (which I haven't seen) that dominated all the categories, but I'm sure Memento was a lot better in most respects. Secondly, The Fellowship of the Ring did not win one single award. I'm sure many of you would agree with me when I say: What the ****?!?!?!?!
Third, "Six Feet Under" won best TV drama. Does anyone even watch that show? I suppose I probably shouldn't say such things considering I was rooting for "24" which few people watch. To the Golden Globes' credit, they did make a good choice by giving Keifer Sutherland the award for best actor in a TV drama for "24," which he did deserve.
Fourth, Ghost World didn't win anything? I thought that was a very well-done movie. Thora Birch and Steve Buscemi were nominated, and I guess they did have some harsh competition.
Fifth, Royal Tenenbaums wasn't even nominated for best comedy. I mean, they nominated Legally Blonde for Christ's sake! Not that it was a bad movie, but it didn't deserve its nomination. Although, I am very glad that Gene Hackman got an award for his performance in Royal Tenenbaums.

I was glad to see Harrison Ford win that lifetime acheivement award. He's always been one of the best actors in the business.

So what awards at the Golden Globes did you guys agree/disagree with? Feel free to flame me or laugh at me for any ignorance I may have shown in my post :D :D :D

Yeah, I thought it was so stupid. All award shows are bull[expletive deleted].

I didn't like when the shows Friends and Will & Grace didn't win anything. The shows and the actors were nominated for a couple of awards but didn't win. It was good that Nicole Kidman won awards but the movie Moulin Rouge won almost every nominations they had! I didn't watch the movie yet so I'm guessing it's that good.

Moulin Rouge was excellent, and I am glad Nicole won. I still don't get how Sting's song beat out Come What May for best song, that was such a mistake. I was also disappointed in the choice for best director, I would have been happy w/Moulin, AI, Beautiful Mind, or LOTR winning, but Gosford Park's director got the award...how weird! I haven't seen that one yet, but I haven't heard the greatest things about it.
