I'm sure I've watched more than one war movie but the only one I remember right now is Saving Private Ryan. So I guess I'm gonna have to go for that.

it's sounds sappy but Pearl Harbor is really good, if u learn to watch for the whole imagery/symbolism thing it's definitely a good movie, besides the fact that Josh Harnett is pretty hot.

Has nobody see any of the classics such as Apocalypse Now, Full Metal Jacket, A Bridge Too Far or Dr Strangelove? Those were the best movies ever made. Maybe they were the last of the great movies ever made :(

I'm going to go with Enemy at the Gates. It had killer special effects, stellar acting jobs, a great set, I thought it was an excellent movie.

Full Metal Jacket
Platoon
And forest gumps vietnam experience...:p
hehe a small little known Australian movie (or in my cases parts of a movie in 3 video cassettes) called ANZAC which is a World War 1 movie about a squad in the Australia New Zealand Army Corp.
The only face in the movie anyone would recognise is Paul Hogan in his younger days.
I can still remember a classic bit where he goes out on apatrol by himself with only a grenade, he finds a small living area of some German soldier and they would probably have killed him when he had entered but he had the grenade with him, finger ready to pul the pin so basically all the German soliders surrendered.
Anyways he tells them all to follow him back to where the Australian army is and to bring all their alcohol with them.
Then it shows a scene where his friends back at the camp were getting worried abot him till someone spotted him behind a line of about 6 drunk Germans all singing and laughing their way to the Australian base.
classic movie.

Black Hawk Down
Yeah I wanna see black hawk down.
Im quite surprised how far Eric Bana (aka Sergeant 1st Class Norm "Hoot" Hooten) has got in the media business.
Sure he was in Chopper but that wasnt that great a movie.
It seems like yesterday he was imitating TV personalities and Politicians on Full Frontal :D
