One of my all-time favorite movies is American Beauty. This is one of the best and most creative films ever made. Kevin Spacey gives a performance that will no doubt make him a legend one day. Annette Bening gives a performance that stands out as well (Although I still believe she should have won the award for Best Actress instead of Hilary Swank.)

Go out and rent this one. It is dark, kind of disturbing, but ultimately, beautiful.

like you i thought the first was the scariest since it was the original, but i like the third the best though since it combines comedy w suspense and thrill. scream 2 i thought was good but i thought it could have been planned better and written better so it's my least favorite out of the trilogy.

American Beauty was, Star, pretty damn good and original. I saw it three times, and this is me who never sees a movie at the cinema more than once usually. I've been hearing good things about Gladiator (well, obviously) and X-Men but I've had no time to see 'em... aw well!

American Beauty came out earlier this year. Down here in lil' ol' New Zealand I think it came out in March, and it's now out on video. (ooh, we're like, sooooo behind, man!) So it's not that old at all. Don't despair... just find someone with a reeeeeeeeally big TV and watch it at their place! It's not one of those movies where you think "Oh NO! I didn't see it on the BIG SCREEN! I'm gonna DIE!" But it is a must-see, okay?

personally, i thought the scream series was s h i t. but everyone is welcome to their own opinions.

my favorites are..

comedy: dogma, empire records, the ref, senseless.

drama/action: american history x, fight club, sid + nancy, hackers.

misc: hellraiser (the first one. the sequel kinda sucked and three and four were BAD), rebel without a cause, go.

i could go on and on...
sorry, i really like movies and couldn't pick just one.

I luv the scream trilogy (mostly #2). I also enjoyed "Cruel Intentions" and "American History", but i didnt really like "American Beauty". Oh, "10 things i hate about you" was a good comedy too!

my favorite movie of all time (other than dumbo) is life is buetiful with alberto binini (thats probly not how you spell his name). I didn't see the version with sub titles i saw the one with the english voices done over it and it was so good. i was crying in the end.
