I've been helping my mom organize her closet, and we stumbled across this poem she had wrote back when she was in college ( which was a freakishly long time ago ). I was wondering what you guys thought about it. I thought it was alright, seeing as I never knew my mom wrote poetry and I have books and books of poems I've wrote up hidden in my own closet.

It's raining outside.
The innocent drops
Interfering with my far from innocent thoughts.
I don't understand.
And there's no one here anymore to show me
Just all that I could be.
My mind has drowned in doubt
Of everything I know nothing about.
So as my head slips under
And you said goodbye
The rain turns to the tears I cry
When I stop and realize
All that I've done wrong...
It should've been over a long time ago.

It's actually pretty alright. A bit cliched in some parts but you could feel the emotion in it.

Go Mom! haha <3

does your mom know you're posting her poetry?

I don't think she cares. She didn't ask for it back when I took it.

But I'll tell you guys like it. Thanks!

I think it is rather good. I just don't like the last line.
