What movies did you see that you thought were going to be really good, but actually turned out to suck or it wasn't what you thought it would be?
For me, I would have to say The Village. It wasn't THAT bad, but it was disappointing to me.

I thought Shark Tale was crap. Ok it was funny in places, but over all it sucked!
And I love Van Helsing. It ruled, but only because Richard Roxbourgh (sp?) was playing Dracula.

I liked the Forgotten too but what really sucked was Van Helsing. I have never seen a worse Dracula being played. Oh my god. Dracula's supposed to be...sexual and well over all appealing. That guy was icky.
Another disappointing one was Nepolean Dynomite. There was zip plot in that one. I was sitting there waiting for a plot...but did one come? No.

Nepolean Dynomite- I heard from many people that it was one of the funniest movies ever. I watched it about 2 weeks ago. Holy shit, how do people find that movie the slightest bit funny, It is one of the most stupid movies I have seen in quite awhile.
How can people love it as they do will always be a question in my head.

I'm somewhat of a Hilary Duff fan, so I went to see A Cinderella Story, but it was pretty awful. Most Hilary Duff movies are like that though so I shouldn't have been surprised.

Closer was about people being mean to eachother for no reason and the dialogue was over-sexualized. Not to mention the scenes were long and drawn out.
Garden State...yeah, real unique. How many times have we witnessed that same ending to a movie?
I guess I just suck like that.

The Grudge was terribly disappointing, it's the biggest load of bullshit since The Ring, in my opinion. Not scary at all.

bad santa and harry potter
Most are repeats of other people's opinions with an explanation for each disappointment.
-The Grudge- Not so much scary as it grossed me out. It wasn't terrible, but it could have been better.
-The Ring- Not scary at all. Just weird. A lot of it didn't make sense to me and was just random.
-White Noise- Very, very slow during most of the movie. Could have been a lot better.
-My Big Fat Greek Wedding- Why was everyone in love with this movie? I really didn't think it was all that funny.
-Not Another Teen Movie- Not funny.
-The Village- Not terrible, but the ending sucked beyond all belief.
-The entire Scary Movie series- Too much sex-related stupid humor.
-Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen- The book was better.
-Flowers in the Attic- The most disappointing movie of ALL time. Horrible casting, horrible acting. Not even close to the book. The book was out of this world. The entire series is. It's genius. The movie just sucked. I could pick apart what was wrong with every second of that movie.
In my opinion, most book-to-movies really suck. I'm anticipating Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants to be horrible, just because both of the books were so good.
