Hey!!:wavin:

I'm wondering what hair straightners are the bst:shrug:
So far I have Remington Power Ceramic, and I recently got Remington Wet to Dry.
I'm just wondering your opinions about straighners and which ones you think are the best
:top:

theres this one that just came out and its supposed to have negative ions or something that make it glide through your hair easier and dont dry it out. Otherwise, the chi is probably your best bet.

but if you wanted a new one and wanted to make sure you had the best, you should go to a local beauty supply store and ask there, they should know.

I got a great one at Sally Beauty Suply. It's like, Juberee, or something French-ish like that. Very, very good though.

YES!

Ceramic plated hair straitenors DONT dry your hair out and work the best because they heat evenly.

But these are VERY expensive. about $300 Canadian and I believe you can only get them if your a professional (you need it for fasion shows, or yoru a hair dresser, and such. plus its cheaper). You can try a salon. But dont go to walmart and get one cuz its going ot be crap. They just dont specialize in the best when it come to this...

i straighten my hair with a revlon... it works pretty good. It really depends on what type of hair you have.

I have long(about down to my waist) brown hair, which has recently been colored. The ends are soft and easily get split ends:sad: My straightners are quite good except if i go out when its raining, etc.., my hair turns it a complete frizz, and goes wavy!!!: crys:

I work in a salon and we sell a bunch of different one. But we strongly reccommend CHI. It is pretty expensive but in the end will save you money because its not going to trash your hair and unlike walmart ones they aren't junk and are going to break every month... they have a lifetime garuatee and are super... that is what i would reccomend..

heheh if your guys are willing to pay over 300 for straigthening iron...you might as well get your hair chemically straightened

Gettign your hair chemically straightened damages your hair and can lead to hair loss.

My favourite straighteners are cermanic ones. Mine was $150 CDN, and varies in tempurate (60-210C).

When I start working one of the first things I'm going to buy myself are a pair of GHDs (http://www.ghds.co.uk/).

i have two. they're both Muster and they're really good.

one is ceramic, one isn't. personally i prefer the non-ceramic one, even though it's probably worse on my hair.

Only £89.95?! I'm so buying them once I've bought a laptop. Holy hell.

I have a set of Remington straighteners, they seem to work just as well as GHDs but they're probably worse on my hair.

I really need to stop straightening my hair, it's killing it slowly. =/

ghds are probally your best bet
thereyer about £125.00 but in dollars thats like$350.00 or even more
You can get them form proffesional hair salons

teen_queen13

I've got GHD's, the ones they use in salons, because nothing else works in my hair because it's too thick. Mine were £100, but you can get them for £89.95
And I can't wear it natural because it's only slightly wavy on top and ringlets underneath, so it sticks out like crazy.
I know someone who got their hair chemically straightened. It was a waste of money, for they had to blow dry it and then straighten over the ends again.
If you use super hot straighteners (like I know you do), always use spray-in leave-in conditioner to protect yuor hair.

I agree.
I have a ceramic straightener and it was $85.00. (Yes, eBay is your friend)
The temperature goes from 100 - 450F.
All you really need to do is look around, you should find one easily. I recommend a ceramic straightener though, chemicals are a big no-no.

Noo Laura you should get T3's, they're a lot better than GHD's now. Probably about £20 more than GHD's but are totally worth it.

I got some for Christmas and they are amazing.

 They're the ones I have! Brilliant you have to get them! They also have little ridges on the top so they can double up as curling irons too.

The salon I go to have the Wet 2 Straight ones and they rave about them constantly. I thought that you had to have your hair bone dry when straightening your hair becuase wet hair on an electrical appliance is a no no but with those Wet 2 Straight ones damp hair is fine (after you've towel dried it a bit first) because they have little holes on the top which lets the moisture out. Apparantly you run your hair through them twice and its completely dry, flat and straight. Cuts out all that sodding around with a hair dryer and round brush then.
