I agree.
Everyone told me what a classic it is, and how its so good. I just saw the whole thing on Monday and it sucked! I swear to God this is the worse movie ever!

Didn't like it very much. Loved The Breakfast Club though; Bender is just one of a fucking kind.
I do love Molly Ringwald though. : )

I think it is the only 'Brat Pack' movie I haven't seen at least a million times or once at least.

there are a ton of Brat Pack films that i have not seen, so i am not going to claim i'm an expert in this area. i just know that this is one of the films that i have seen and that i cannot stand. it's right next to The Breakfast Club and About Last Night.... terrible.
Pretty in Pink isn't bad, but this is just because i've got a thing for James Spader (man, do i love me some James Spader) and neither was St. Elmo's Fire (minus the hilarious breakdown of Demi Moore's character). i'd consider Some Kind of Wonderful and Mannequin Brat Packesque, and i totally enjoy both of those. Heaven Help Us doesn't make me totally want to kill myself, either.
but i just don't understand the appeal of Sixteen Candles. or The Breakfast Club. everyone shits their pants over them, but i just get totally embarrassed for the characters every time i see either of those films.

I agree with everything except James Spader, I didn't like him at all in Pretty in Pink or anything else. He's a drip.
Molly Ringwald was dressed like a hobo, she was sour, she was boring, she was a bitch. Big fucking deal your family forgot your birthday, things happen. When the grand mother went to groped her tits and she gets all embarrass, once again big deal? So what if your grand mother groped you, its not a big deal, if my grand mother did that I would of laughed and joked but no this bullshit girl in this joke of a movie had to be embarrassed. Sorry I just couldn't stand this movie. I felt the same way, I wanted to kill myself.
Who ever said this movie is a classic should be shot! Do you even know what a classic movie is? I'll show you one! Oh and I think I lost some brain cells when I watched it.
