You know how you memorize an entire song? The lyrics and all? Well, when your memorizing a script, just do it section by section, as long as a song lyric is on a page. That could probably help. Also rehearsing and reciting it would help. At least it's not like a Play, you gotta memorize the WHOLE thing on stage, NO mistakes. In a movie, you screw up, you can retry. You know if there's a certain scene your doing that day, you just gotta memorize your lines for that day.

yeah, but still how can you just memorize what exactly a script says?

It takes time and a lot of work. You need to already have at least some semblance of a natural talent for memorization -- sure, you can learn tips, but it's a skill that's a lot easier if you're already good at it to begin with.
Depending on how many lines I get, I usually memorize things in the time span of a few hours to a few weeks. The lines aren't learned overnight; I study them thoroughly, I rehearse them with the other members of the play/film, sometimes I even record the rehearsals so I can have a better sense of timing.
Keep in mind that what works for some actors, may not work for you. That's why you have to experiment with different techniques, study under different instructors, in order to find what's best for you.

You don't. You just have to memorize each separate scene at a time, not the entire script. Plus there's always a script assistant that helps the actors remember their lines in between takes.

^2 Actually, script supers don't help actors with their lines. They don't interject cues if they are flubbing.
They just watch for continuity errors and make notes to help the post production boys.
Actors are expected to know the lines for the scene they are scheduled to shoot for that day.
Some directors will expect you to have committed to memory an entire monologue minutes before a take.
Also, you will never, ever make it as an actor. You are deluded.

You just have to keep going through your lines over and over again. Don't quit till you've got it in your head for sure. Get a friend to run lines with you.
