So, I've had my nose pierced for a few months now. And I've taken care of it and all, but whenever I go to change the ring or anything it hurts so bad. I didn't change it too early I waited a while to do that. So, what can I do?

Get rid of it. Your nose is telling you something.

It's an infection. Get it checked out.
My nose ring is becoming all stupid now as well, so I'm gonna take my own advice.

Well considering that you've had it for months, you might have an infection or an allgeric reaction to the rings.
I'd advise go to your piercer to get it checked out.

Other than it hurting, is it doing anything else -- oozing, redness, swelling, itchiness, etc.? If you say yes to any of the aforementioned, it's pretty much a definite infection.

Be mindful of what kind of jewelry you're using. Surgical steel and titanium are the least likely to cause an allergic reaction, but it's not out of the question.

Not necessarily. It could be irritation from the jewelry.

It it just hurts with no other symptoms, it's irritation. Try switching to a different type of jewelry. If it's oozing yellow or green liquid, is red and/or swollen, and feels warm, it is most likely infected. Don't take it out. Clean it like you did when you first got it pierced and try to make it to the doctor. They might prescribe some antibiotics. Again, do not take the piercing out if it's infected. The doctor might tell you to do that, but don't listen.

Stop changing it! You shouldn't be changing it yet. Nostril piercings are cartilage and typically take a year or more to fully heal. You shouldn't change the jewelry until it's healed.

Changing the jewelry as you've been doing is irritating and most likely damaging the developing fistula. In simple terms, you're irritating the hell out of your piercing and hurting it; stop changing the jewelry and the pain will go away.

And since it isn't healed yet you should still be doing your aftercare. Are you?

This. Plus rings aren't generally very good for healing, so you may want to go back to your pierer and get it changed for a titanium nose screw.

It's irritated, not infected.

Leave it alone, clean it a lot, swap it out for a stud.

I've only changed it like once or twice. It's not infected or anything, It only hurts if I try to take the ring out, nothing else, hitting it on accident doesn't hurt, only that.

Although cartilage piercings take up to a year to finish healing, most piercing professionals would advise you to change it a few months after getting it pierced (six to eight weeks minimum, ten to twelve weeks maximum). Leaving the same jewelry in place for an entire year is completely unsanitary.

Wow, that is absolutely incorrect. Whatever "piercer" told you this doesn't know shit about his or her supposed profession. When you clean the piercing with a sea salt soak it cleans the jewelry as well. There's nothing unsanitary about it.

I'm not sure where you heard this, but it's a crock of bullshit. It's not at all unsanitary to leave the same jewelry in place for a year. That's the whole purpose of cleaning it, to keep it sanitary. It's actually much better for the piercing to leave the same jewelry in for as long as possible because cartilage takes FOREVER to heal and only gets irritated if the jewelry is changed before it is completely healed. I don't think you should be going to these "professionals" anymore.
