PERSONALY I HATE THINK SHE IS TO YOUNG FER THE ROLE SHE IS PLAYING AND LOOKS NOTHING LIKE THE BOOK MAKES HER OUT TO BE..


I LIKE FANNING AS AN ACTOR BUT COME ONN.

When I first heard this I thought Dakota Fanning was too young too, I pictured that little girl from all her older movies. But she's grown up a bit and looks much older now, I think she's around 14

I remember Jane being described as looking innocent and child like. She's supposed to be only around twelve years old.

I don't really mind if she doesn't look the part as much as if she can or cannot act it. I'd take an incredible performance over her appearance any day. And Fanning is incredibly talented, I don't think she'll let us down.

Dakota Now:

I agree;
at first I didn't really think she would do well with the part;
but like Luola explained; Jane is described as innocent & child like. So I think Dakota will fit the part well :]
