i think you need to take time to decide for yourself.

it's going to be on your body for the next ~70 years.

if you dont even know where you want it, you arent ready for it.

I dont like that tattoo but id say either your arm or back.
You should ask around people who have tattoos that you know and who they recommend

Okay, first off:

That is a PERSONAL tattoo that someone PAID to have designed. Get your own, you thieving trash. What the hell does a wolf mean to you? If it means anything, get an original design.

If you don't know where to put it, and are stealing "pretty" designs from other people - you are not mature enough for a tattoo. Give it 10 years and try again, kid.

A good tattoo parlour looks and smells clean - they autoclave their equipment and use single-use sterile packaged needles. They should be polite and skilled as actual artists. They should have up-to-date portfolios for you to look at, of real work, photos of things they have done - NOT flash designs on the walls. They should not be so empty that they can fit you in that day - clean and safe places tend to be popular. Ask them about aftercare.

i dont like huge obnoxious tattoos on gals, although some can pull it off. i like smaller more feminine tattoos, maybe one behind your ear or on your neck, one on your shoulder or near your waistline, maybe on your hand. i dont like it when a huge tattoos is randomly slapped on a gal's arm or leg, it looks so out of place. keep it subtle for your first tattoo.

i hate when people freak out about tattoos being cliche/unoriginal/meaningless.
like yeah its awesome if you have something meaningful, then it'll be THAT much nicer to have on your body the rest of your life, but what's the huge problem with someone just liking a design?
Like it's art. If you just think the design is appealing/ "pretty", what's the problem with that?
I DO agree on you finding a spot for it though; if you haven't come up with the placement on your own, you need to definitely think about it a lot more before listening to our opinions. Even going to a parlor and talking with an artist about it is better than asking a bunch of teens on the internet. They'll also have good ideas because they've had experience/they know what looks good where.

Thats not always true, 1 of the tattoos ive gotten they were able to do it right when I went in. They were really good and sterile and my tattoo turned out great.

The other 2 I was able to walk right in too but its cuz I knew some of the guys there.

A big wolf on either of those places would instantly make a woman look like a big huge butch lesbian.

I suggest your inner lower arm, or maybe your stomach. Only if its in good shape though.I have one there. But when theyre doing it over that bone that pops out on your tummy it hurts worse than on other areas

Excuse me? Click the link. The artist that designed that SPECIFICALLY says no one else is to use it. It's rude and disrespectful.

It's not cliche flash designs off a wall - it's a piece of art that the artist designed for a paying customer. This artist has expressly made it clear that no one else may use their work.

:cutie: Not only is it pretty low to take it, it's also technically illegal.

imagine slaving over a piece of artwork for a ridiculous amount of time untill it's perfected.
then imagine paying money to get your own artwork tattooed on your body for the rest of yourlife.
imagine the feeling of having the only tattoo ever made of your own design.

then a few weeks, or months, or years later, walking on the beach or through the mall, and seeing that design tattooed on someone else.

"This design was created specifically for the commissioner only. If you would like a design custom created for you, drop me a note or see my FAQ journal entry if you need more info."

"STOP - You are not authorized to use this artwork"

^these are printed clearly on that artists deviantart page.

it's ok to base a design off of another persons artwork.
but it's not ok to copy it. give that artist the respect they deserve and find your own design.
the artist even offers to make custom designs for other people.

well yes, if someone requests their work not to be used obviously that's wrong.
i'm saying i dislike when people freak about having tattoos just because.

yeah. that's wrong, i'm not saying taking this EXACT design is okay, especially when the artist asks them not to..but to base a design off of it, that's different. the op may just like wolves..why does it need to have significance?

Even something "based" off that design is not acceptable unless she has permission from the artist. I like a lot of things, doesn't mean I should get them tattooed on my body. It needs to have a significance or else in a couple years when you've grown up you're not going to like it anymore.

On the bottom of your foot, where nobody could see that ugly thing.

Very true that this would be intellectual property infringement and over-all unethical to get tattooed on you... unless you are the person it was specifically designed for. Are you?

Anyone else think about that? While it would be an obvious sign of disresepct for the artist, the tattoo-ee, and the law to get this tattoo if it were not designed for her... who is to say it wasn't?

get something pretty, that tattoo looks very manly.
best places are hipbone, foot, or back down from one of the shoulders.

dont bother with the wrist its incredibly generic

Click the link and read it properly - the commissioner is a 27 year old German male.
