Or at least feel really emotional?
I remember being very choked up reading Where the Red Fern Grows in elementary school. Such a sad and gory ending. I don't think I cried, though. I was just tramautized!
When I was in first grade I read An Old Fashioned Girl by Louisa May Alcott, and since it was above my reading level, it took me a few check outs to finish it. I remember my friends asking me why I kept reading it if it was taking me so long. Anyway, I cried when the grandmother died. I'm guessing because I was so invested in the book by then.
In eighth grade, we read bits of Flowers for Algernon and I started silently crying in class.
