Hello, I really would like to become more interested in fashion, what's hot and what's not.

I'm fed up of the way I dress! I want to look better!

My usual is a pare of jeans, a T - shirt and a jumper.

I want to become more fashionable and keep up with what's good and not

Any advice?

Would be very greatful. :)

Hello, I really would like to become more interested in fashion, what's hot and what's not.

Don't do what's 'hot'/trends. With that out of the way, we're 50% through your makeover!

My usual is a pare of jeans, a T - shirt and a jumper.

You're female? Ok, then I suggest you try to dress as such. Most teeny-bopper stores (AE, A&F, etc) sell generic clothing which can hardly be descried as being either male or female (i.e., tees, hoodies, jeans, etc), so don't shop at those. Wear skirts with proper tops. Have both morning and evening wear. Take advice from your grandmother (or like figure). Wear Alfred Dunner/Liz Claiborne.

GUYS - wear a shirt and tie and PLEASE tuck the shirt in! It wouldn't kill you to see a tailor, either. And avoid skinny jeans (no one's impressed by a bulge).

stuff always goes in and out. by the time you buy it it's probably 'out'.

i'm guessing your a girl, and i do know some summer trends, if thats what your looking for.

- embellished, big tanks
- cork wedges
- thong sandals
- flowery prints
- big necklaces
- tops other than tee shirts! like tube top mini dresses and things like that. silkprints are cute
- cropped, short dress that can be a cover up or dressed up
- esperadrilles
- flowy skirts

Surf the internet and the magazines to find things you like. There are tons of magazines and such you can find at any ol' store that can help you out, and the internet is even better for this. Find different things you enjoy, and mix and match to find your own style. You don't necessarily have to follow trends -- dress how YOU like.

I also suggest going places to just try on the clothes. You never know, you may find something you like.

If you're a guy I'd say for summer '09 the trend is:

-plaid shorts, get them hemmed so they are fitting instead of baggy
-skinny jeans if you can handle it in the heat (mind you not TOO skinny, just fitting)
-graphic tees can do no wrong, just make sure the print isn't TOO immature
-hoodies are light and since it's cotton are breathable
-cardigans are a winter item but still are light and look great during summer
-cut off skinny jeans add a nice look as well
-for shoes stick with black off the wall Vans, they're simple and match basically anything
-sperry's are also very nice shoes that I like (they're a bit pricey though)

When it comes to fashion stick with what you feel comfortable in, make your own trend ;)
