Hey guys, just wondering if anyone can help me.
When looking for jobs online etc and they say 'email your CV' I go onto my hotmail account, click on 'new message' write what I need to write, then when it comes to attaching the CV to the email, I obviously click 'attach' choose the file I want, attach it and it all seems great. But when the other person receives the file it refuses to open, the CV is saved as a word document file so i'm not too sure what is going wrong. If anyone could help me out on this I'd really appreciate it :)

Do you have Office '07? If this is the case and the company you're sending the email to is filled with drooling retards it would explain why they can't open it.

Okay heres a few options and in order what to do...

- If using Microsoft Office 2007...

Change the Document format from "Office 2007" to "Office 2003"

OR

- Try using GMail instead of Hotmail.

LAST Resort...

Mail it to them.

Why would you suggest GMail over Hotmail? There's no reason to think it would fix the problem the threadstarter is having. I mean yes, GMail is easily better, but why suggest the work of setting up a whole new email when you know there's no reason to think it'll help?

Ive used GMail for years and never had a problem.

it doesn't matter what mail server the file leaves, it will still be the same file when it arrives

if it is actually microsoft word you are using, make sure you are saving as .RTF, and if it still won't open, then the office in particular is using windows 95 or some shit
