I've been tossing around the idea for years.

yeahhh ive decided to definately get them right after prom (cant wear a bra with that dress and it would rub sooo bad) how bad did it hurt?? keep in mind, im pretty sensitive. im a little scared!

oh and the breast feeding thing, i thought about that, and then remembered i cant breast feed anyway because of the medication i have to take, so i guess it doesnt matter.

I piercing hurt more than anything else I've ever felt in my life, but each nipple only lasts a few seconds, so it's not unbearable. You'll be VERY sore for a good two months probably. But after that it's pretty smooth sailing.

This is because there are literally million of little ducts in your nipples, the piercing only punctures/blocks between 1/10 and 1/5 of the openings (depending on how big your nipples are), which leaves more than enough for sufficiant milk flow.....not that it matters if you can't breast feed anyway, just thought I'd throw that out there lol.

Afterward it's sort of like a burning, throbbing pain. It wasn't bad enough to cease my regular activities, but it did hurt pretty bad. That pain lasted for a few days really, but there were still sore for a couple of months.

The numbing cream won't do any good. It just numbs the surface; the piercing has to go through a lot more tissue layers. Advil....I really don't know if it'd do any good, Advil is pretty mild. Whatever you do, don't take anything with asperin in it though, that's a blood thinner and will make you bleed a lot more.

Actually, they can make breastfeeding easier - as for wearing a bra/not wearing a bra afterwards - wear a bra. Bras stay still. Your shirt will rub. Trust me, the pressure of a bra is nothing compared to having your shirt create friction on them all day long.

i totally agree. most piercings can be trashy but they really dont have to be. i think a big part of that depends on the reasons for getting one. im kind of excited =] plus i really love that i can take it out eventually when i dont want it anymore. i mean like i was gonna get a tattoo this summer but i dont know if thats such a good idea yet. i figured i would feed my wild side with some nipple piercings which are completely reversable, ya know?
