when i went through puberty my hips grew SO fast and now i have a couple stretch marks on them. it drives me crazy and while my boyfriend says that no one cares and they look perfectly fine, they just bother me. i know that most creams (if not all creams) are total scams and dont work, and the only thing that actually works is laser and dermabrasion. but has anybody ever used a cream that worked???

I have white stretch marks ALL over my hips. The white ones you can't get rid of unfortunatley without lasers. If you have red stretch marks, ask your doctor to perscribe you a cream. Mine bother me as well, (I have cellulite on top of that too), but I figure, the only one who is ever going to see it is my boyfriend. There's really nothing I can do about it so I just try not to think about it :[

Red stretch marks are not permanent. But once they turn white you're out of luck. I recommend you go to your doctor asap. Go go go go go!

haha im going!! right now, im typing this as i run out the door! haha i actually just spent 100 dollars on some cream so hopefully it'll work, a doctors visit would be sooo expensive and just plain annoying. if this shit doesnt work, then i will definately go.

Great, so she can have stretch marks and cancer. :top:

OP, like Laurielou said if they are red, see your doctor soon he/she will be able to give you a cream, if they're white you're kinda out of luck.

When I first got stretch marks on my inner thighs when I was fifteen (My legs bulked up from soccer), dad said that only pregnant ladies got stretch marks, so I freaked and thought I was sick. Thankfully someone else told me that they were stretch marks.

The woes of not having a mother or older sister. Whenever I wear shorts, dad goes "what the hell are those lines on your legs?"

omigoodness!! i just found an amazing temporary way to reduce the appearance DRAMATICALLY. i used my foundation and put it on the marks and surrounding area, i used kinda a lot, and rubbed it all in kind of like a lotion, not the way you put on foundation. then after it dried i put some powder on to reflect the light and I finished off by using lotion and moisturizing. i had big purple stretch marks and now you can barely see them!!!!! im so freaking happy, im gonna go out tomorrow and buy water proof foundation. here i come bikini!!!

Coco butter isn't that effect on stretch marks that have been there awhile.
It's used more for preventing stretch marks or helping with recent ones.

yeah i use cocoa butter now to prevent more from forming, but it doesnt help with existing ones. i got this stuff called retinyl A (not retinol) which is supposed to reduce redness by constricting blood vessels. people usually use it for rocesea (sp?) and stuff. i also ordered some crazy expensive shit cause it had amazing reviews, good thing is tho theres a money back guarantee so if it doenst work, i wont be out 90 bucks.

so i bought this stuff for super cheap called Retinyl A, which people usually use for acne (specifically rosecea please dont kill me for spelling that wrong) and it's supposed to reduce redness. i've been using it for TWO DAYS and it's already working!! im soo happy.
