So i have started tanning. There are so many lotions out there. Im really not sure what kind to use. So girls...What kind of tanning products/lotions do you use? Whats your favorite kind? ect.
This would be a great help so i can actually spend my money on some tanning lotion that works very well and is not a waste. Tanning tips would be nice also.

Thanks.

Oh my goodness, chica do not tan!!! There are other ways to get the bronze look without tanning and tanning is so bad for your skin, I know it is so repetitive to hear this, and many people are die hard tanners regardless and do not think it will affect their skin unless they over do it, but on a serious note in the long run it is not good for your skin at all, try a faux sun body bronzer it will give you the same tan look without the leather look later. I use garnier summer body moisturising lotion...
Its very good and builds up a gradual tan every time you use it..
This also means that you get no streaks. Its around £3.50 :D

If you read she said lotion...as in a 'fake' tan
St Tropez i find it is best for me... its expensive but gives best results.
You can get it cheaper and un used off ebay.

.. She didn't really specify. Lotions are used for tanning beds too and I'm thinking that's what OP meant since she didn't say anything about a fake tan.

OP, Ask the girls at the salon what the best deal is. They're all pretty much at the same level, some may say otherwise. I've had $70 bottles and $30 bottles... the main difference would be the smell and how many bronzers are in it. I get tanned easily so I don't need a ton of extras for the color I want so I stick to the cheaper end. I just care about how it smells.

Well, are you tanning outside or in a bed?
I tan outside, mainly because beds are expensive and I'm very claustrophobic.
When I tan outside I use X-Treme Sport tanning OIL.
I don't find the lotions work for me. The oils work so much better.

then after may
i will be tanning outside.
idk if you knew
this but there are stand up
beds...i mean i dont think that
would help your claustrophibia.
but still you can try it out.
i go to sun tan city.
you might have one where you live.

No, we don't a Sun Tan City near me.
There isn't even one in my state! haha

Yeah, I just couldn't stand the fact of having the lid of the bed so close to me and be laying/standing in such a small area.

So I stick to tannin outdoors and using spray on tans when I MUST have a tan right away.

Yeah i always see those little pouches. I should start buying those instead. I was wondering bronzing lotions do they make you streak? Cause i want to get darker faster and someone told me to use a lotion with a bronzer.

oils work better because most dont have SPF in them.
which can be dangerous.

wanna get a good tan?
even if its in a bed, rub baby oil all over you, then apply a tanning lotion specifficaly meant to attract more sun rays.
the baby oil will help preven sun spots and dryness, but make sure when you use a tanning lotion to get one with a tiny bit of SPF.
there's good ones at the salons

I have some natural glow lotion. I forgot the name and can't be bugged to look it up either. All you do is apply it to clean skin and it makes your skin glow a bit. It doesn't turn you orange or anything. It's not a fake tan if that's what you're getting at. It's like regular lotion.

When I tan outside, I use tanning oil. You just spray it on you and it attracts the sun rays and allows you to get a deep tan faster and easier. But before I do that, I get a base tan because if you just apply the tanning oil, you're probably going to burn.

Make sure before you go outside to tan, you check the UV index. Make sure it's around 5 and higher. It helps you tan faster. Get in a comfortable spot, when there's no shade and get everything ready. I listen to music or read some books when I'm tanning. Having some wind is a good thing because you don't get overheated. Grab some water and a spray bottle. When you start to feel warm or hot, just spray a little bit of water on you and it will help you tan more.

Lay on your back for about an hour and switch to your stomach. Some people put a pillow under their stomach, to make it more comfortable. I don't lay in chairs or anything. I just lay a towel on the ground and tan that way.

Remember you won't tan just from one day. You have to keep repeating the tanning steps and you will see a tan appear. If you want to see if you're getting somewhat of a tan, stand completely naked in the shower with the shower curtain closed. You should appear darker.
