Alright, I need help finding tops/dresses that will fit me.
I'm 18 years old, 5'3 1/2", and only weigh like 92 or 93 pounds. And no, I don't have an eating disorder!
I don't have problems finding jeans, I just get 0's and 1/2's.
My problem is finding cute sundresses and tops that fit me.
Normally, the tops are too baggy or too big/saggy around the boobs or in the back.
I love bright colors like orange, blue, pink, and yellow.
I'm also semi-preppy. Nothing too extreme. I'm just average really and will wear anything girly and cute.
Does anybody know any stores that will have tops and dresses to fit me? I would also like places that are pretty cheap. Nothing over $30!

I said cheap.
Hollister and Abercrombie isn't cheap.
And they aren't really my style either.
I have a few tops and one pair of jeans from Hollister.
But those were a gift. Hollister isn't really my style.
I'm more girly and cute than "preppy".

The childrens section is too small.
I have an awkward body shape.

Thanks!
I've seen their clothes online and think they are adorable.
But I'v never shopped there. So I was scared to order anything offline from there.
So the next time I'm at the mall I think I'll stop by there and try some stuff on.

You might just have to start getting your dresses tailored to fit you.

Grr...
I don't know anybody around here that tailors dresses/tops.
I live in a super small town.
And I know that it will cost a lot of money to get my stuff tailored.

Forever 21
No, I'm around the OP's size and even Forever 21's smalls are baggy around my bust line especially.
I do find some things at Forever 21 that I just alter a bit so that they fit.
You could do that.

Really? I would always have to get a size larger because they run small.

No im 5'6 and weigh 113 and I wear the smallest size at forever 21 has and sometimes it fits too big. Their clothes are huge. So I cant imagine it being good for someone shorter and weighing much less than me

Old Navy works for me. I'm 5'4" and 98 lbs and a medium fits me there.
I also like Ross, Nordstrom Rack and Target.
Sometimes I have luck at Macy's.

I tried Forever 21 and that stuff was huge on me.
And to whoever said Everblue;I've never heard of that before.
And I don't have a Macy's near me...

Is even the petite stuff too small for you?
Like in department stores?
A lot of clothes run differently, depending on the style/store.
You kind of just need to try things on and see what fits and what doesn't.

Petite is the women's clothes.
I'm not in women sizes yet.
I can barely fit into a Small in Juniors, much less womens!

I know that Rue 21 fits me.
I have a lot of clothes from there.
I just really want something different than those clothes.

Thats true. Again, it kinda depends on the style/fit of the shirt.
I'd just go around to different kinds of stores (even if they're not the most popular) and just try on different styles and stuff.

I just looked at their website and their prices are WAY too step for me.
They were asking $118 for a tank top!
And even theor clearance was pricey.

try charlotte russe for the jeans and tops.i wouldn't advise their dresses.they are made big in the bust area.
for dresses i would suggest rue 21 or wet seal.or even the taylor swift dresses or the lei dresses at walmart.
also,if you like hollister/a&f/and aeropostale they run pretty small.
hollister and a&f have fairly low prices on their sales racks.
and aeropostale is generally pretty cheap itself.

04-18-2009, 06:13 PM
Thank you.
I don't really have a problem with jeans, but I'll take a look.
I like Hollister, and some of A&F's stuff, but they are pretty high in prices.
I'll look on their clearance racks though.
And I shop at Aeropostale and Rue 21 all the time, and sometimes at Wal-Mart.
However, Wal-Mart's smalls in some of the tops don't fit me.
I love the Taylor Swift dresses they have though.

I have the same problem. The best solution is to go to Ross and search really hard. A lot of times you can find the extra small stuff that didn't sell in normal stores. It's a hit and miss though. Or just rummage through the sale section of Urban Outfitters. You can definitely find stuff that fits you there. Most 'cheap' stores only have clothes for larger people unfortunately.

well you can't try it on but i know quite alot of people who are tiny who buy their clothes online from places like japan, china & thailand on ebay and stuff as their sizes are much smaller.

Try to find a Gap outlet store near you. I went to a Gap outlet store the other day, and I saw a TON of extra small clothing.

Wet Seal makes small clothes, and they're super cheap and are usually pretty bright/girly. For a sundress, try finding one with those puckered/elasticy gathered tops. They're great if you dont have a lot of boob because they are absolutely flat and just stretch to fit whatever amount of chest you have. H&M had some super cute ones, but I don't know if there's one near you if you're in a small town.
