So I pretty much LOVE sewing things, and Band T-shirts usually only have the best designs for boys. Case and point, this new cancer bats shirt i just bought online and is currently en route to my house via ups:

So, I was thinking about making a really rad corset out of it when it comes in. Not boned or anything, but more like a tube top that laces up the back. but here in lies my problem, I don't have any eyelet tape and the fabric store by my house doesn't carry it. Does anyone have any ideas about alternative products to use? Or even other rad ideas for what to make this shirt into? If you look at it, the image is really big, so I wanted to take it in from the back, but i dunno, help?

Try sing little loops of ribbon, or order it online. I have altered big Ts before just by cutting off from just below the sleves (to make it into a strapless top) taking out a section form the bace (ie like 1/2 or 3/4 of the fabric from teh bace panel), folding thick ribbon over the cut edges and sewing it on with a machine (in essence using it as seam tape) and then sewing little loops of thinner ribbon up the two cat and seamed edges of the back. This can then have another ribbon threaded through and can be worn like a corset.
