Ok first off. the film was released in 2004...it ain't even old enough to remake yet. And why would they want to remake an already fantastic film? Oh right, for profit...duh. But it's pretty sad. They should just leave it.

i really don't see the point. HOFD wasn't that good in the first place. the story was terrible. i doubt there is anyone out there who can do a better job than zhang yimou did.

if the producers are hoping to pull a "departed"....they've picked the wrong movie to remake.
