The most fucked up movies you've ever seen? Be it due to gore, extremely graphic violence, etc etc.

Some of the ones I've seen:

Audition
Gummo
Hostel
Ichi The Killer
I Spit On Your Grave
Inside
Teeth

These are all of the ones that I feel like posting right now...
Add some of your own!

Hostel was a little change from some of the other "scary" movies out there.
Saw III when they totally hate crime on that black guy and rip his whole body apart.

Hostel.

Why people consider stuff like THAT entertaning is just odd to me. Saw III fit into that catagory, too. I mean, Saw I was interesting, but now the movies are just sick. That ain't horror, that's just plain...well, *fucked up*. But still, at least Saw had some plot behind it rather than an island primarily used to torture people. I mean, movies are meant to make you think not to have you expirience what it's like to see people chainsawed with the relief of knowing it isn't real.

From graphicness to storyline, Hostel just comes to mind as a pointlessly sick movie.

I don't know if I'd say overall, but there was a scene in Bug when the lead guy was literally tearing himself apart because he could feel the (eventually psychologically-created) bugs crawling under his skin.

You're kidding? That is the one where his tendon gets sliced and he ties it back together to carry on fighting? The effects are awful and detract from any tension (not that there is any) and horror (once again, none involved) and it's just not gruesome because of it.

Nope, but a good film doesn't necessarily have to have a plot. I know people who look at it as a piece of cinematic genuis and I know people who strongly detest it.

This thread sucks. Half the shit on the internet is 100x hardcore than any movie ever will be.

Cannibal Holocaust sorta blows.

And yes, there are snuff films and hardcore gore all over the Internet, but we're talking about films, in which actual thought is put into scenes of violence to make them much more tense than any grainy terrorist decapitatin'. Though the whole Russian-murder-spree-with-hammers thing was fucked up.

FUN LINKS:
If you guys are feeling super hardcore and have money to spare, why not buy a DVD of actual traffic accidents and autopsy footage? (http://wtfdvds.com/all-dvds-1/drive-for-life-real-autopsy-footage-dvd-1586.html)

Maybe some horrific suicides and mutilations from Japan? (http://wtfdvds.com/all-dvds-1/death-press-2-dvd-2058.html)

African mondo documentary? (http://wtfdvds.com/all-dvds-1/africa-addio-dvd-2053.html)

Gory, entirely real dental procedure? (http://wtfdvds.com/all-dvds-1/the-fear-vendors-dvd-79.html)

So yeah, real shit is out there, but I daresay there is certain artistry in constructing an effective torture scene that can make it much more tense than actual footage.

"Salo."

Its an Italian (or spanish?) movie based on an unfinished novel by the Marquis De Sade called the 120 Days of Sodom in which a group of wealthy noblemen lock themselves in a secluded country mansion with their daughters and a group of young, teenage boys and girls. Along with the boys and girls are four old prostitutes who relate the most horrific (or arousing, depending who you are) exploits of their career as inspiration for the four noblemen who then perform similar acts on the children. In the end all of the children are murdered through various methods.

The movie itself is not in English. I watched it online with subtitles. Its not particularly graphic, as in you can somewhat tell that the large turd one of the girls are forced to chow down on is fake, followed by a shit feast, which is probably the movie's most famous sequence. The film is set in fascist Spain (or Italy?), and the Noblemen are now different officials in the government and church. Its a very intriguing adaptation.

Highly recommended.

Don't know if you're aware of it, but that's based on a real event.
The Girl Next Door was based off the book about the Sylvia Likens murder.
Released the same year was An American Crime, which is largely based off the court transcripts.
Ellen Page does a pretty damn good job playing Sylvia, if you can handle the "fucked up" factor, I highly recommend it.

Horror movies and thrillers aside, I'd say Requiem for a Dream. One of my favorites, yet extremely fucked.

OH! And a Clockwork Orange. Love the movie, but very trippy.

All I remember of the movie is pinballs and people getting them stuck up their asses. Literally. :scared:

And the After Dark Horror series movie's are pretty messed up. They are so good. lol

Gangster prostitute/drug dealer dude and like this 18yr old who left home and started hangin out w/ him and like... they were gay.. and he fisted this fat woman... i was like that's it for me. IDK the name of it. Beloved was weird too.

Um... I'm thinking Bully.Great movie.

Kids (same director) is probably more messed up, but it's not really any good + Bully was a true story and that makes it more 'hsarrowing'. =P

see, what i consider "messed up" are certain scenes for several films.
1. the rape scene in the clockwork orange.
2. the shaving sequence in cabin fever.
3. the crucifix scene in the exorcist.

yeah, these are the three scenes that can literally make me sick to my stomach with one single mention. a;lskjdf. :errrr:

Haha, I love the shaving scene from Cabin Fever!

agreed. plus the "finger-bang-misfire" scene xD

the only scene i can even think of from a movie that makes me cringe
is the scene in Hostel; when the one guy takes a blow torch to the one chick's eye
and then they have to cut it out and it goo's the yellow stuff

but that's because of my weird thing with eyeballs...they gross me out so much
((so some of the "See No Evil" scenes got to me too and at the end of Audition with the needles in the eyeballs))

watched Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas this reason
pretty fucked up....

I don't know if they existed yet.
Another thing PETA would hate: in Apocalypse Now, in one of the most disturbing scenes some Vietnamese tribal-ish people kill a water buffalo by axing it in the back of the neck - real.

Yet another: Cannibal Holocaust. They killed a bunch of the animals for real. Not like it doesn't happen with natives out there still nowadays, but to kill the animals like that for a movie really bothered a lot of people.

And that movie's pretty messed up besides that. (I think it was britty who mentioned it somewhere and I had to go look it up on IMDB...thanks britty.)

Philosophy of a Knife was pretty screwed up, also.

I never actually watched these movies, but the parents' guide on IMDB really illuminates things sometimes. Not when it just says "There is violence in this movie".

Search the web for the head exploding scene from Scanners. Often agreed by film scholars as the greatest head explosion ever caught on film.

Slaughtered Vomit Doll

All the vomit in that movie is real so that makes it really gross to watch and the director is a FREAK who has a vomit fetish, is a satanist, and talks about how he used to fuck his sister.
