I just rented it this weekend. Two words: it rocked. Anyone else see it? If not, I'd highly recommend it. It's one of those movies that really gets you thinking and tries to mess with your head.

It looked pretty good to me. I haven't seen it, but anything with either Jim Carrey or Kate Winslet has to be good. It looked like another version of Vanilla Sky though...

I didn't like it. There are other movies in this type of genre that blow this one out of the water, and I think tend to be ignored after Sunshine came out.

I am in love with this movie. It's out on DVD now? I should ask for it for Christmas. :D

What movies?

I haven't seen Eternal Sunshine so I don't want to waste my money renting it if you can recommend something better.

In a very broad sense, I think of it as a movie that kind of puts reality in the 'grey' area, so other films of this nature I would suggest would be Pi, Brazil, Jacob's Ladder, Bladerunner, Total Recall, and maybe Being John Malkovich (the writer for Malkovich, Charlie Kaufman, wrote the screenplay for Sunshine, actually).

I LOVED this movie when I saw it in theaters... it does mess with your head. I was confused at parts... it's really all over the place. I think it's one of those movies you have to watch a few times to completely understand it.
