all my life we havent had much money and i could never get the goth maybe a bit of emo style clothes I wanted
but now I moved and I get money but still dress average
I want to wear black more I want to dye my hair
but im afraid people will be all like "youre a poser"
but the truth is I used to always draw myself wearing gothic clothes and sometimes emo clothes
because I love it so much and always wished i could afford it and finally I can
how can I start wearing these clothes without people getting bitchy because I started wearing it out of nowhere?
I really dont have time for people comming up and being asses just because I can finally wear what ive wanted for so long. I dont care if people insult my clothes but if they insult ME and say shit that isnt true, I cant stand that.

I've always been poorish, and yeah its kinda hard just chagin like that. so u should buy a shirt that suits your style and wear it and then get another one and wear it. ease into it. when people are like "oh you're goth now?" just be like, " i HAVE been, where have u been for the last.." u get the idea. clothes are clothes. wear what you want =)

People aren't going to judge you or call you a poser. I'm not really gothic or anything. But I do have a lot of clothes from Hot Topic and I'll wear studded belts and converse when the majority of my friends wear Sean John and Baby Phat. It's your style. If that's what you like, wear it. If that's the music you listen to and the lifestyle you want to follow just go for it. Fuck other people they're all gonna die eventually.

It's about knowing the difference between emo and goth, stop thinking about what's emo and what's not.
Emo and Goth aren't actually very alike, Emo is a rip off and if you have the money for the 'goth brands' then you shouldn't have the problem of looking like a poser :shrug:
Alot of people will still consider you 'emo' but come on, there are plenty of celebrities in goth-wear that people consider emo.

i know what its like to hate the way you dress and want to change. i did that shit too.

basically to be more goth, you get combat boots, black cargo pants (not skinny, not baggy) or denim that youve strategically cut holes in, some type of belt with studs, a shirt with a cyber-industrial band on it (the shirt has to have at least one obscenity), some kind of necklace, maybe even a dog collar, random fake leather bracelets with metal and shit on it, black nail polish, and makeup.
