Im going to start to get my license in Oklahoma or Texas. First im 18 and I have heard that when you turn 18 you can just take the written exam, is that correct in either state?

What would be faster parent taught driving or commercial?About how long would this take?

How long after you take the test and pass do you get your license?

How long does it normally take to do everything including studying for the test, driving hours, taking the test and getting the license to drive(I don't care about being able to drive with friends, im talking about being able to drive by myself).

Im sorry if this wasn't the correct place to put this...

Even once your 18? 2 other people have told me that when your 18 you just have to take the test and then you get your temporary 45 license...

Pretty sure that's only if you take driver's ed, which you have to do if you're legally going to drive before you're 18, but once you're 18 I'm pretty sure you can just take the written test, then the road test.

I'm 17 and I don't have my license, but I gotta admit that doesn't really stop me from driving at all. I even have my own car... I didn't register it myself or anything, but I paid for it.

I have and even found their website but I haven't found much information on 18+. It usually just says something about being 16+. I know its easier once you turn 18 but I really just need to kno how long its going to take to get my license.

In Arkansas if you dont pass the written test the first time you have to wait a week until you can take it again. Then after you pass the written test you get your permit for 6 months. Now that doesn't mean you have to wait 6 months to take the drivers test to get your license. You have to wait at least a month before you can take the driving part of the test. Make sure that the car your testing in has proof of insurance, working headlights and brake lights, and signals and a functional horn and that all the doors open from the outside. The test car has to be mechanically sound before they will let you test in it. Hope this helps.

idk about everywhere else

but in NY, i think if you're 18, you have to get your permit, then have someone sign off that you drove 20 hours, then schedule your road test, if you pass your road test, you get your full license

its more complicated if your under 18 though
