I saw it in grade 8 and loved it, then rode around on my scooter singing Dammit Janet. You know you want a memory like that...But seriously, go see it.

Dude, it's amazing!

You have to see a shadowcast at least once, it's like a teenage right of passage!

Um...just be aware that some shows have age restrictions. I've been to a few where you had to be 17 without a gardian...just to let you know. I think it depends on the theme.

But seriously go! It's totally worth it.

"Jump to the left."
"Now you step to riiiiiight."
"Hands on your hips."
"And pull your knees in tiIiIght
'Cause it's the pelvic thrust
Really drives you insaaaaane."

I think you HAVE to see it.
Whether you would like it or hate it, just to see it. It was such a huge phenomenon, and still is really.

By the way, I think it's the most overrated musical in history, and a rather terrible movie.

It is somewhat of an underground right of passage, and a BLAST!

Michigan FINALLY got a permanent shadowcast in Jackson, can't wait to check them out. They do a double feature: RHPS and Repo! The Genetic Opera!

As long as it's a good shadow cast. Last time I went, Brad was a fat black chick who really did not give a fuck if she was there or not. And Riff Raff kept changing costumes from The Grinch to Marvin the Martian to Stewie Griffin. And don't even get me started on Frank... I give him props for chasing after Rocky in the boots he had on, but wtf. They were just not nearly as cool as the cast I saw before them.

Riff Raff: You're wet.
Janet: Yes. It's raining.

One of my favorite movies of all time !!

Also, the soundtrack to it is just great :D

Wow...just....wow. Fail of a film, unless a horrendous plot and a low budget are qualifications for greatness.

Not really. That was the general formula for a shit film, the formula for a cult film involves an originally poor critical or public reception followed by a small but rabid section of fans who go to often extraordinary lengths to show their love and support for the film. That's it in it's base terms anyway, a film doesn't have to be shit quality to have a cult following.

Definitely agree. Some of the best movies are cult films (Clerks, Fight Club?). And, such as Rocky Horror, some of the worst. And everything in between (Donnie Darko).
