Just watched it last night.
Pretty interesting.
Also pretty weird. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4gnhNWK2VWk)
The whole movie was good up until the end, it was kind of a let down. You never get to see what happens to Alex after his time in the hospital.

Nah, I went on Wikipedia and found out what happens after he gets out of the hospital in the book.

Shut the fuck up.
Just because it's someone's most popular movie, doesn't mean it's their best. Possibly far from it. I can't say the same for the book, because I haven't even bothered reading it after watching the movie. The violence wasn't played out as well as I thought, a lot of the actors were terrible with the exception of a few, and some of it was just too unrealistic even for fantasy.
But that's my opinion, and that's yours. To go tell someone to 'kill themselves and watch a kiddy movie' just because they have an opinion is fucking dumb.

Yeah, really, if anything, A Clockwork Orange is Kubrick's most kiddy film.
Everyone that is smart enough to ignore public opinion knows that A Clockwork Orange and 2001 couldn't touch Dr. Strangelove with a yardstick.

One of these days I'll get to see more than a random five minute clip from Dr. Strangelove.
Hopefully the next time I convince my parents to rent movies or something.
I liked A Clockwork Orange, but I'd have to say that Full Metal Jacket was definitely better.

idiot who has never seen Eyes Wide Shut
Clearly no Dr. Strangelove, Full Metal Jacket, 2001, or even on the same level as The Shining. It's dece, yeah. McDowell did a decent job as Alex, book is far superior as usual. (even if Burgess has a severe case of Downs compared to dystopian authors like Huxley.)

You're just really fucking lazy if you didn't ever try to just google the movie's title to watch online.

Or maybe I forgot all about that movie until someone posted about it?
I forget what movie I wanted to rent from a month ago, the last time I heard about Dr. Strangelove was over a year ago until now.

I would LOVE to see that movie; sometime!
I tried reading the book but I was busy with other things so I never got around to it.
Everyone keeps saying it's weird; I wanna find out why!

Bet you haven't seen a single Kubrick movie before Lolita either.

I was comparing him to Huxley. Burgess is one of my favorite writers, but even Rand's symbolism seems elementary compared to Huxley's fiction and non-fiction.

Spartacus is one of my favorites. I haven't seen any before Paths of Glory.
Would it please you if I corrected myself and said A Clockwork Orange is the worst Kubrick film that I've ever seen?
I was comparing him to Huxley. Burgess is one of my favorite writers, but even Rand's symbolism seems elementary compared to Huxley's fiction and non-fiction.Burgess isn't a very symbolic writer though..
That's like saying Dr. Seuss is better than Huxley cause he rhymes more.
