Just two months left...
From all the footage that I've seen, Zach Snyder looks like he's done a great job filming the 'unfilmable.'
Besides minor nitpicking I am absolutely excited for this adaptation.

I don't normally read comic books, but when I saw that the initial trailer months ago, I was intrigued. So I bought the graphic novel. AMAZING STUFF! What a story! I love the whole thing so much now. Rorschach is a legend.
I can't wait for the film, Snyder will do a good job. It has a R rating which it needs and it will be very long which it has to be. Snyder won't have to play around with the story so much, it doesn't need it. He just has to make it feel like the comic book. Judging from the trailers and interviews, I think he has.
The casting has been excellent as well. Jackie Earle Haley and Patrick Wilson were excellent in Little Children. Billy Cudrup is a brilliant actor. They're important roles, and they'll do a good job. Even the unknowns look really good in the trailers. The Comedian, Silk Spectre (daughter) and Ozymandias look like they'll do a serious job.
Can't wait!

Malin Akerman is playing the Silk Spectre. She was also in MADE OF HONOR(if I'm correct) and HEARTBREAK KID with Ben Stiller. She's really pretty too.

I'm kind of in the same camp as you. I picked up the comic book, loved it, and have given it to all my friends to read. I trust Snyder, he says he's staying true to the material, and I know it's going to be a long movie.
Initially I was kind of disappointed with the actor who played the comedian and how they switched around Ozy's costume. Now I can overlook it, but maybe they should have picked a bigger man to play the comedian? The guy was enormous. I thought they did a really good job with the Silk Spectre and Rorschach. You know that Keanu Reeves had an interest in playing Dr. Manhattan?

 I think that would've sucked. Billy Crudrup is a wicked actor, I'm happy with him to play Dr. Manhattan

Yeah! Go to the closest book store and buy Watchmen ASAP.
Keanu has the monotone voice needed for Manhattan but he just doesn't sound like him or look like him.
Apparently there's suppose to be a new trailer coming out this month. :D

It talks about the 'Minutemen'. Nothing new but it's quite interesting either way. Enjoy!

For a whole year Fox and Warner Brothers have been fighting in court. It was just ruled that Fox owned all rights to The Watchmen license and now they are looking to delay the films release to 2011. If this happens it could mean alot of people could hate Fox for doing that. Even if Warner Brothers did a wrong thing I just think they should split the box office returns 50/50.
It was said now that they would leave it to the judge to decide if The Watchmen should be delayed or not. The date of the rest of the trial is set for January 20th.

They actually moved it up to January 12th, if I recall correctly.

Yea I just read that Warner Brothers requested that so they can know if they can begin their marketing campaign for the film. They said they are losing patience because the campaign would cost them over 10 million dollars, but I just hope that The Watchmen isnt postponed til 2011

"According to Reuters wire services, attorneys for Warner Bros. and Twentieth Century Fox studios told judge Gary Feess today that they were in settlement talks in the Watchmen lawsuit.
U.S. District Judge Gary Feess, presiding over the copyright dispute between the two studios, was expected on Friday to rule on whether to move up a Jan. 20 hearing on the movie's planned March 6 release.
But with the attorneys saying they were in talks, Feess delayed his decision on whether to move up the hearing. If there is no settlement, a new date could be set next week."

Phew, hopefully they can work something out... waiting until March 6th is hard enough. I'd go on a killing spree if this movie is dumped altogether.
