Please don't refer me to a piercing site :(

I just want to know which ear I should get pierced, I'm a guy and I want to get the top part done with a little black stud or something that will look sick (cool)

Try getting it on your.. hm.
Right ear.
Either way, it'll look fine.

how about you get somewhere totally BAMF pierced instead. 11 year old girls get their ear cartilage pierced.

Get it on whichever side you want.
And please please please don't get it done with a gun.

Oh, and straight jewellery is generally better for healing than rings.

How about you just get both ears done in different places though? And fomo is right don't let them use a gun... or freezespray for that matter.

All piercings have a waiting period and it really depends on how well you take care of it. If you fiddle with it too much, it'll take longer to heal, never mind you could get it infected.

I never liked the gun. I always imagine that it was used on other people and could have their...I don't know...gunk? on it. There is a needle they can use (used it on my belly button, nose, and cartilage) and its a new needle every time so I don't worry about them not disinfecting it.

Also, make SURE you check that the place has up-to-date Department of Health licensing. My friend Donna recently got Hepatitis because their cert was not up to date and they didn't use new needles nor did they change their gloves between piercings.

New gloves. Disinfection. New needle. Make sure your jewelery is sterilized.

In short, guns can't be sterilised properly, placement can be very dodgy, and it causes a blunt force trauma.

The question's about getting a nose pierced, but it still applies.

And as said above, make sure you go to a reputable piercing studio. Go to have a look beforehand to make sure it's clean etc.

To fully clean the gun would break it, so you get plasma and skin and all other bits of crap in it. It can often jam, more so in cartilage as it is harder to stab it with a blunt tip to break it. I mean they jam in lobes for god sake!

Also another good thing to keep in mind that there are cases where a gun will shatter the cartilage and you get a fucked up cauliflower ear haha. That is also why you dont get it freeze sprayed first, it makes the cartialge snap like plastic!

Needle is the best way and always will be. Feels nicer too. Plus it carves a chunk out rather then just force its way between.

Your mom is wrong.

It's unsanitary and will actually be harder to heal, especialy in a cartilige piercing!

Also, being pierced with a needle hurts ten times less than getting pierced with a gun.

Do they freeze with a needle or is it just like getting a needle in your arm?
