OMFG! Okay, so I've tried so many times, I cant even imagine how many, to dye parts of my hair pink. I actually just did it again with RAW color like 30 minutes ago. The problem is it doesnt stay in, even for a day! Any good pink hair color names?
RAW is supposed to stay in for 3 to 6 weeks.
Oh yeah, but it came out in 30 minutes. :/

How long do you leave it in? I left pink dye in for a good 13 hours (I put it in foil and blow dried it every once in a while because heat is supposed to make it more "intense"), and it stayed in for a good couple days. It was really pretty too!

Also: You can also keep the colour in there a little longer by rinsing your hair with white vinegar straight after colouring your hair. This raises the pH level of the hair color and gives it more permanence. Mix equal amounts of white vinegar and water in a cup (about half a cup of each) and rinse out your newly-coloured hair with lukewarm water until the water runs clear. Then pour on the mix, comb it through and rinse it out.

Get some Manic Panic. From what I've heard, it lasts better than any of the other brightly colored dyes.

I used Manic Panic this summer and it stayed in for a month or so, and I have dark brown hair that I didn't even bleach. Leave it in for the maximum time.

I am an avid fan of colouring my hair and i have to say Manic Panic is by far the best.

They have a few shades of pink and they stay in for quite a while.

I can usually keep any manic panic colour in my hair about 4 weeks before it really needs changing (or i get bored)

But then i don't always wash my hair lots as i often have my hair up and that cuts down washing as it takes time to put it up so i avoid washing it down fast.

Follow the instructions and listen to any advice they give as it usually is there for a reason.

since ur hair is blonde, u may be doomed. there are two types of blonde hair:
one retains color to the point to where u cant get it out,
the other will not retain color for very long.
i had the second one, too.
there are many types of dye, manic panic, raw, splat!, others... all are suppossed to last about the same amount of time. but u got to remember, when it comes to colors, red comes out the easiest with blue or green lasting the longest. ive tried all these colors, and on me, they all came out fairly quickly. also, when u dye entire head, its going to last longer than if u just do streaks or sections.
i dont even remotely understand how ur pink came out in a half hour unless u were swimming.
i guess tips would be:
leave in as long as u can, so long as ur only using crazy colors, it wont damage ur hair to leave it in too long.
apply heat.
if ur only doing parts of ur hair, only rinse those parts.
dont rinse until it runs completely clear, but until the waters only slightly tinted.
also only use water to rinse it, no shampoo.
try to wash ur hair as little as possible
avoid running water at all costs! when ur in the shower shampooing, get out of the water when u scrub ur head.
try using littler shampoo n conditioner, or No-poo shampoo (it doesnt lather up, which helps dye stay in i guess)
rinse and wash in COLD water.

My suggestion exactly. I used to dye my hair all the time, and Manic Panic was my favorite. Try Red Passion.

Also, any dye with red in it fades really fast. You can buy Manic Panic shampoo that actually has the dye in it so when you wash your hair after the initial dye job, it renews the color.

OP, You may wanna also dying your hair a really, really light blonde--almost white color. Especially if you want a light pink color.

my friend used the Color Fiend, but it was purple, but it still there adn its been a month or 2 now.

i forgot the name of my hair dye...
although i dyed it red and it stayed in for a good 3 months...
well, actually, it stayed RED that long...
after that it turned pink...
it wouldnt come out.
then i colored it red again with the same color.
after a year, it was still in a little.

i guess it depends on how often you wash your hair, really.
i wash my hair once a week or once every 2 weeks.
NO, thats not gross...
by washing your hair, you wash out the natural oils
that your body produces to protect your hair from UV rays.
dirt has never killed anyone.
