This movie was terrible.

The tone was so melodramatic and ridiculous - I found myself laughing at the movie quite a lot when it got talking on the emotions again and again and again; why couldn't they have gone with the stereotypical indie apathetic tone? - it would have you know, actually fit the characters.

The ending was absolutely retarded.


That being said; I liked the drawing on signs gimmick a lot.
The not being able to smile thing was a kinda neat touch - though, I don't know that all the actors pulled it off so well.

To be fair, part of that may have been due to Eugene.
His character was supposedly inspired by Gogol Bordello's Eugene Hutz.
I like how the even used Gogol Bordello songs for Eugene's band.

yep. that's how friends and i went and saw Saw IV i think

either way; it was just us which was good because we all talked during the entire thing
about the movie of course, but still
i'm sure it would've pissed other people off

i am horrible to sit with during movies because i always talk
and it's always about whatever we're watching
in one way or another; usually it's like random comments about things i learned about the making of the movie ((almost like my own commentary >___< ))
but i know it's gotta get annoying; that's why i only watch movies with friends i know are the same way and are as interested as i am about everything having to do with the movie

Melodramatic. Boring. Pointless. Stereotypical. "Hollywood" (though I think it is independent).
Basically any originality or quality in concept is nullified completely by the execution.

yeah, it actually is. Love movies bore me, and anything with "wristcutters" in the title sounds more than ridiculous. I won't watch something about beings which disgust me., when I could be watching something that actually appeals to me.

cause i mean to say that if you commit suicide, you're not really getting out of anything
you end up stuck in the middle of nowhere with you life just a little shittier than it already was, plus you never get to see any of your family or friends ever again unless they too commit suicide.

and have the "on demand" channels
go to Free Movies on Demand
and then over to "Sundance" and it's the last movie on that list
((but if you want a good movie, just watch "A Guide To Recognizing Your Saints"))

another really good sundance movie is "half-nelson" i watched it twice in one day

God it's such a good movie. Some days I want to marry Patrick Fugit. lol

I seen some B rated movie called purgatory house.

Wristcutters was very similar.
They even both wake up at the end in hospital beds.

Looks good.

i don't know.. im usually pretty open to all types of movies and this really seemed like the type of movie im usually interested in BUT..

i was verry disapointed by this movie.
